Q:

I know what you’re thinking (NOW WITH VIDEO)

quote :

‘Did he fire six shots or only five?’ Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I’ve kind of lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow your head clean off, you’ve got to ask yourself one question: ‘Do I feel lucky?’ Well do ya, punk?

finally got this picture…pretty hard to take a picture of your self, with a camera you cant see wheres pointing

here’s my new toy Taurus Raging Bull. 44mag 6.5″ ported barrel…one big handgun thats for sure !

i really like the grip of it

and i think it looks real badass

but one thing made me wonder a bit….manual states 240 grain at 1350 fps…about 900 fpe….is it ok to shoot wolf gold which is 1525 fps and 1200 fpe ?

i bought 8 different kinds of ammo to test, most of them in the 750-800 fpe range, and then one at 900, and wolf at 1200 fpe….but then got wondering if thats safe when manual says something differently…but its also a generic manual for all of their revolvers…

not having shot the gun yet, i can only comment of finish and such which on the outside is very good, but inside theres some machining marks in the cylinder and breech of the barrel…normal or not i dont know i cant remeber SW or rugers finish inside.

grip is nice for a large hand, i looks funky, but it fits my hand nicely….even wife’s small hand is ok with it, but she has to cock it with her left hand, as her thumb just cannot reach the hammer.

it comes with a piece of plactic in the cylinder, guy at the store said is was for dryfiring pactice, thought that was a cool idea…SA mode is nice, breaks easy, double action im not real confident with….it seems like theres a slight stop before the hammer falls…but i got a little bit of a problem catching that rest every time…im sure its something i will develop af feel for once i get some range time.

cylinder locks in front and in the back…like ruger does too, but ruger you only have to operate one lever…on the taurus its a 2 hand job to get the cylinder out….pretty easy though once you know how….i was worried a bit when i felt the cylinder could rotate just a bit, but once the gun is cocked the cylinder cannot be moved what so ever, not even the slightest

things i would have changed….well sights are black, i hate that as i cant see the freaking thing on the indoor range…i remembered it having a red front sight…but i remembered wrong i guess…gotta go buy some fiber sights for it

opticsplanet has so far fucked me over…i ordered a bsquare rail from them 1½ week ago, it said in stock….but just yesterday got a mail it was backordered…those fucks…why did they wait so long….i intend to mount my eotech on it…but i guess that will have to wait grrrr

tomorrow its range day….well after lunch at google, and dropping off the civic, as the fix they did to the third gear, have fucked up second gear and made it real notchy…but then it range time…wife wanted to go let some lead fly as well…she has still to try the .22lr glock conversion…im sure she will love it.

hehe who needs a large cap magazine when your as fast as he is

fixed the taurus !!!

decided to try take the cylinder appart….couldnt but i could get the culprit out….one of the return springs has a bad end thats not formed right…i flipped it around and it is now smooth, nonbinding…fucking cheap as spring the cause of it all….and of course i dont have a replacement, among the 100’s of springs i got around…but it worked by just flipping it around….gonna go to the gunstore and see if they got a spring i might be able to use

Nice gun,

Ported barrels are nice, test shooting it at night to how affects your night vision, some people shoot with both eyes open, at night go with one so you can still see in the dark with the other if needed.

Just a tactical thought

Cygnus just may be the next Jerry Miculik at this rate!

Keep in mind, he is shooting a revolver in this video.

😯

i have been considering the usp….but its “just” another plastic gun…col if you wanna carry and all, but i allready got a glock for that sort of thing.

i cant wait to get the 1911, think theres a range about 45-60 minutes from here that does action pistol and ipsc every saturday….now that could be fun 😀

Oh you are going to get in deep now.

Start doing your research on the holster you want for IPSC and get yourself a timer and extra mags. 😀

I don’t think there is a pistol out there that can be brought to action faster than a 1911, considering it can be carried cocked and locked, along with the single-action trigger. Though I think the H&K USP can be configured with the same type action and trigger pull.

Dangit Cyg, now I am feeling the urge to go get one of my own! I can’t afford that for another three or so airguns at least LOL!

Sweet!

My dad’s 1911 is also a Springfield.

1911’s are true works of art.

i sure hope so 😀 its the most expensive af all my guns…and it has drained my bank account completely i got no more money…dont even have money to buy ammo for it !

but as SteveLA said, its a matter of getting the guns, before microstamping might go into effect….im sure my sugar momma LOL is gonna sponsor me some beans for it 🙂

video clips !!!

first up Taurus Raging Bull 44mag

the springfield 1911 rental, dont know exact model

then glock17 with 9mm +P ammo

the glock with .22lr kit on it…this is a must have product if you own a glock…its so freaking fun, its easy to shoot, very low recoil, very accurate…damn cheap in ammo (once 2200-2500 rnds through the kit it will have payed for it self

SWEET !

Ah….you got a good one. I have a Springfield A1 as well and it was comped out back in 1980’s. You should try shooting action pistol someday with that A1.

depends on the language ;-D well as i do with a shitload of words i type what looks right to me….just felt icon was more of a brand name than the actual spelling of icon…you live you learn 😛

well theres so many after market mods for the 1911 one can practically make it like you prefer

single stack is nce when it comes to getting my wife to go shoot…she can reach the trigger with the more narrow grip !

bloody sucks with the federal law on the shipping, still thinking of tinkering my self, its a reversed thread on the the ejector rod…so i should in theory be able to put the handle in a wise between some thick leather, and just turn the cylinder and it should come off…and give me a look see in there…will see tomorrow might be stupid to risk it when theres a warranty, maybe i could just try gently 🙄

They are right about shipping handguns. We shipped the ruger 44 mag back to the factory because it blew the ejector assembly off the gun, and it was like 70 bucks to ship it. I looked a lot to try and find a way around it, but no such luck.

1911 looks nice. I like the grip. Only thing I am not so partial to on the 1911 is they are a little too thin for me. I like the fatter grips. I like the single stack style magazine, more reliable feeding, but I like a thick grip on it.
