I bought a couple of Uncle Mike’s 33″ tactical cased from Bushnell, on closeout, for $15 each. Really light weight.

Zonk, yes, IL. finally started issuing CCW permits a couple of weeks ago. One of my buddies had to show me his CCW permit the day that he got it. It takes the usual background checks and 16 hours of combined classes and shooting to get one.

Oldgoat, I’ve been watching the laws in Il. on CCW. Can you get yours yet or is it still in the courts? ANTI gun state as it is, why would anyone want to live there for that reason….

So you got il-annoyed for a good reason. The NRA wimped out where it could have fought the “redefining a gun” issue. Jerks. How many times does “support the NRA” come up in AG commercial sites? … plenty.
The long gun might fit at an angle. If not, Plano makes a longer case. The double I’ve got holds a Royale 500 and another rifle, must have 47-48+ inches inside.
I got the larger case and it will just barely hold my R3 25 cal long that I am adding a 28” long TJ’s .257” cast bullet shooting barrel to. I think!
It will be really close; I might have to cut all of the foam out to get the moderator end of the extended barrel to fit. If it doesn’t fit, I will have to cut a hole for the end of moderator to stick out of.
I don’t know what LEO would think of me having a R3 .257” cast bullet shooting Matador that needed to have the last 1 or 2 inches of the moderator sticking out of the hole in the case when the case was closed.
If I need to cut the case for the guns length; I might be better off having the butt end sticking out of the case instead of the moderator’s end!
I live in IL and IL says that anything over a .177 that shoots over 700fps is a firearm! The Fed gun codes clearly state that any gun that doesn’t use a burning propellant is NOT a fire arm. The codes also state that individual states can’t say that an air gun IS a firearm!
According to Illinois, I need to send my FOID card numbers to someone that I want to buy an air gun off of and then, I have to have it shipped to somebody that has a gun shop or a class 3 FFL.
I can then pick up my air gun and pay the gun shop whatever they want for my having the privilege of having the air gun shipped to them!
Thankfully, Tony and most air gun sellers don’t pay any attention to the Illinois laws: so far!
I have talked to the BATF, they say that air guns ARE air guns and that the Illinois laws don’t apply to them as far as they are concerned. I have talked to the NRA and they aren’t interested in the Illinois laws as; air guns aren’t fire arms. I told them that I have been a NRA member since I was 18. Didn’t matter.
In Illinois, it will take somebody to get busted with an air gun that wants to fight the illegal law and get it changed. It probably won’t happen as it would take big bucks to fight it. AFAIC the NRA sucks!
I guess that I just need to get my concealed carry permit. I wouldn’t have to worry if the moderator sticks out of the case then.

I am very happy with both of the cases I got perfect for the AirForce guns also
36″ fits condor or talon SS perfectly and the 42″ fits all the other guns great

Here are the true inside dimensions for the 36″ and 42″ cases.
The 36″ case actually only has 33.5″ x 10.5″ of pluckable foam with a connected outer ring making total foam 36.75″ x 13″ but basically lose 1.5″ on every side.
The 42″ case actually only has 39.5″ x 10.5″ of pluckable foam with a connected outer ring making total foam 42.75″ x 13″ but basically lose 1.5″ on every side.

Jetta was your friend got pulled over by a regular cop or a warden? I know many cops out there don’t know shit about carry guns in vehicles, I always keep with me printouts to show them in case I have to educate them! :angrymob:

As of yet this ban doesn’t include AG’s only pertains to PB’s. I was concerned about it when first implemented and contacted the Fresno field office and they confirmed (talk about getting the run around) have since called every year before small game season opens to reconfirm.

Yeah but we needed it, went offloading the other day and for the first time I can remember in years the low water crossing in De Luz and Sandia creek had water coming over the top. And it should encourage breeding for the ground squirrels so target rich environments to look forward to.
