That’s were my friend got arrested…nj and for that same reason….air rifles are classified as real fire arms….and he had his air rifle in the trunk with his pellets and arrested him and confiscated his matador and charged him with a felony…
I asked the officer and he told me air rifles are illegal and having ammo next to the weapon is against the law also…
So just as a precaution I practice nj laws here in p.a just to play it safe……gun in the trunk and ammo in the glove box.
Yep, NJ is screwed up that way, even with air guns.
I’m not going to lie it’s an expensive case but with the case open or closed I know my rifle is protected….I cut the foam right so the gun doesn’t move.
Even of the case is locked?
Without a carry license I’m not allowed to have pellets along with the rifle…I’m suppose to separate the ammo from the gun while traveling…
I have the pelican 1700 and my rifle fell out my truck while in the case and hit the floor HARD…and it cradled my rifle like a baby…not a scratch.
I might pick this case up for my cricket which right now is caseless
Its a solid case that will be more than capable of protecting rifle.
Plus the 42″ version has room for small tool/parts box and you can stack 4 tins or 6 if you push foam harder of pellets.
I’ve seen it hands on…it’s not the greatest case but it does the job of not letting your rifle get fucked up by accidents…they had them at dicks sporting goods

It’s is no pelican case on wheels but for that price it looks like a bargain, big discount, I don’t need one and still want one for that price.
