Q:

Inside the Hummingbird–Now the tuning & issue begins!

I will post all internals and how the bird work and whats need tuning or improvements in this Topic. This BP is going to be a hit, vary well made over the cricket.

Got her today so I will cover several area as I go along tuning and adjusting:

1. the gauge isn’t aligned properly in my book. So if you have a standard cricket gauge socket it will fit the HB, but 1st the AT must be vented
under the trigger guard is where the standard fill hole and use the same fill probe as the cricket, as you can see on the photo near the fill hole is
the bleed screw—-> its a larger heavy duty screw compare to the cricket. After all the air is vented the AT can be unscrew—this AT wall thickness is thick and heavy–so vary unlikely you wont dent the AT in normal use–even dropping the HB. the oring that seals the AT is 3mm X 30mm. the fill
check valve is the same size as the cricket, had to increase the fill rate to my liking vary easy to do.

2. Now I’m having issue with the bolt blowing back when shooting pellets, when it does a lot of air will blow on your cheek and scare the shit out of me the 1st time it happen also the speed will drop about 8 to 12 fps. now it blow back about 2 to 3 time a mag full that not good—have to find this problem. Has to be the locking ball of some type—its like a free floating bolt after its cock if nothing locking it in place it will blow back! If anybody has this problem let me know!!!! 😥

  And it keeps on going ………..

A Cork Sucker is one highly regarded profession in Finland. I got tired for all the fame and thus moved to Sweden and as you already pointed out i work for the Government now. I’m first name basis with the King as well. He calls me “Sir” and i call him “Imbecille”. And then we laugh ..

Dear Uncle Hoot, am I correct that you have been owned by Sir Ville?

Yes. He’s been my Toy Boy for quite a while. He’s for sale at the moment though. I can’t stand his attitude. PM me for closer details and payment info.

Semi-Literate Finnish Prick-let….It was assholes like you that made it necessary to add the word “Venereal” to the Finnish book of known diseases!!!

You used to work in a distillery for Finnish whisky. Your job was to plug the casks after they were filled. You used to get drunk licking the whiskey off the plugs…that’s why you were known throughout the distillery as a “Cork Sucker“. THEN…when the other workers found out you didn’t have an education…they started calling you…” A Stupid Cork Sucker!!!” That qualified you to work for the Swedish Government…the rest is history.

Phew!!! That took some doing, I have a headache. Going to sign off now.

Actually if a tuner wanted to drum up work, showing DIY videos would likely generate more work. Giving fools like me just enough confidence to try to work on something we really know little if anything about, then screw up. With our only recourse to send it to be repaired. Our local gunsmiths say you will not believe the number of times they get some gun in a bag full of parts. On a serious note, I am really actually surprised at how helpful Ernest has been. This thread was the reason that I bought a Hummingbird, as I read it, I knew it had a few issues, but was confident that someone out there had a fix.

Of course! And half of the members here would use that as a tutorial for DIY lobotomy. What did you thought ?

Ernest, what happend to all videos on Colibri uploaded by you?

If you were a brain surgeon…would you post all your videos of “How To Do Home Brain Surgery For Cheap!”

Hoot:

sorry going to move them with the Edgun videos—Soon! with updated HB video

Ernest, what happend to all videos on Colibri uploaded by you?

I still can’t understand a word he’s saying, but I find his vids interesting to watch !

I’ve also heard that the newer R3 wireless version is a bit better and less cumbersome, dang but you need to update to the latest USB firmware so you can fit the mags in !

You shot that WITHOUT A MOUSE!!!!!!!!

Are you Insane?

Hoot:

The only really accurate way would be some targets from a Competition where the targets and points are verified.

I was actually just joking about it but it truly is remarkable how many A-class shooters there are on the Internet. Many of those guys would do well in Olympics and World Champs.

I, for one , never ever lie about my shooting prowess . How can YOU guys know that ? If i claim it on the Net it has to be true. 😉

This is how many of the groupings howering about has to be shot :

quote Wingman NZ:

Thats crazy talk! everyone knows that people are exactly who they say they are on the internet!

Exactly ! As are many of the targets shown , shot at various distances. 🙂

Good point Ville! What would be a good way to verify claimed groupings on targets shown?
I am thinking a video through the scope can do. I cant think of a simpler and a passive method.
