Interest Check – Taipan Mag Holders – Cricket Too!

Yeah. Glad you’re on board Dana’s website.

This you, Terry?

I *finally* got a chance to get out and hunt with the Mutant yesterday. First time since I put three of these holders on the gun. I’m REALLY happy with them to say the least. We were hammering ground squirrels all day at out favorite spot. The mag holders work great.

Totally agree with Bizill. I shoot JSBs and when I try others I am disappointed.
22/15.89 and 18.whatever
25/33.whatever and the 25.whatever.
Accuracy counts.

Have only tried one pellet manufacturer, Manny. The JSB’s in 25.39 gr and 33.95 gr.
I do like H&N in my airgun pistols but haven’t tried them in .25.
I like Predators in .22 with my P-rod as they shoot the most like lasers from it. Haven’t tried them in .25.
I wanted to go with ONE pellet and work with it as I was only intending on long distance target shooting. I knew the JSB’s are already heralded across the board as being pretty darn accurate with just about every airgun barrel in existance so I rolled the dice and and scored in the accuracy dept. I got 8 of the 350 pc pellet tins and have been happy. If I were to shift my focus to hunting, I’d probably want to try other pellets…so long as they shoot as accurately as do the JSB’s. Then again, I wouldn’t be shooting past 100 yards unless it’s just small pests or birds of which the JSB’s do plenty fine at taking out the subject.

Hey Bizill,
got a question for you,
Have you tried different pellets in your Veteran .25 ?
I’m interested in the gun, but I would like if they would shoot H&N Baracuda and the H&N various hollowpoints well, also the Benjamin domes,
Thanks

The smoothest action has come in the form of the Cricket .177/.22 mags. They’re shallow but have a large O.D. but probably because I haven’t listed them in the Cricket section, they’ve not received much attention.
On an earlier note, I’ve had a single purchase from an owner with 2 Taipans purchase six for each airgun. Now that’s a man who’s not going to be running out of shots anytime soon.

Well dam. If I lived closer I would loan you mine. I sure like the look of your holders. If they ever become available for the .25 cricket I will purchase some.

And I appreciate it, Mr. K.! :8:
I ordered and received right away 8 .25 Veteran mag holders. 4 for me and 4 for a buddy. All are working a treat. Now you know why the pricing goes up to 8 now. Regards, Tom

LOTS of confusion between the Mutant .22 and the Veteran .22. They are different for sure. Mutant .22 is smaller in diameter, yet holds 12 pellets. The Veteran .22 is larger, but only holds 10 pellets.
Thanks for everything, guys. ๐

Tony doesnโt have any, but I will check with Randy tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion!

Check with Tony and then with R&L guns , Make sure you say Mutant magazines as the Veterans are different..

I bought 3 of these from Bill. Great product! Anyone know where additional original 12 shot Mutant mags can be found?
