Leishy safety
Don’t own a leishy but it seems that disengaging the safety may cause an accidental discharge if the safety was partially set.
Seems like a major design flaw. Deal breaker?
How concerned are you guys about this.

No, I haven’t ordered one. Trying to get a TMS or Vulcan first (getting close to it in terms of $$$)
Lets break it down:
1. You push in the safety partially (error 1),
2. forget you applied the safety and pull the trigger–Happens too often to be considered an error–(no error)
3. disengage the safety (Not a user error)
So one error and if you didn’t know any better you might end up with a AD.
As for pulling the trigger really hard, I guess that would prevent an AD more often than not.
On the Vulcan I would just place the bolt back and set it down (that should prevent the hammer from moving, i assume).
Also on the Vulcan the trigger resets, maybe that would prevent an AD if you partially set the safety then disengaged it??? idk. Can you partially set the safety on a vulcan? wish i had one to test it.
I want a leishy, it probably suits my needs way better than a Vulcan, but the non-reseting trigger and the possibility of an AD make it a tough purchase. I shoot with a couple of my friends and wouldn’t want to hand them a leishy (idk how hard they pull the trigger)
When I folded the gun, the safety is on. I push it off. now when I tried to push the safety back to ON. The safety is only back half way, I had to fold the gun again to set safety on. Is the normal or an issue. BTW, if the safety is half way, the gun will fire when you pull the trigger.

right how to disable this “safety”. reminds me of the old talon days. first thing you do is to chuck out the safety components.simples.
As I clearly described in my video it is user error. If you forget the safety is on and you pull the trigger hard. The sear can rest on the safety bar. When I got the first shipment I tried to get this to happen on several different ones. You have to pull the trigger pretty hard to get the sear to release.
This happens when you manually push the safety , don’t engage it all the way then forget you applied the safety and pull the trigger. So this requires several errors on the shooter’s behalf in order to have an AD by releasing the safety. If you make that many errors with a Vulcan you will have the same outcome.
Again I show the user error quite clearly in my video. Also you do not have to let the air tube push the safety in.
Is yours already arriving?
I don’t like safety mechanisms but on the Leshiy (as on many others) apparently it engages automatically so not much you can avoid there.
Since the problem apparently is well known now, probably Ed will get it fixed very soon ….

BTW: I really like safeties. Maybe to a paranoid level. I actually feel unsafe around rifles without safeties. P.S. don’t walk around with a cocked gun on safe.
