Lelya #090 test results….
Ok fellas. The Lelya is finally here…. I pulled it out of the box, slapped a
Leapers 4X32 scope on it with low profile Weaver rings (Needs Medium for
proper eye alignment), filled it to 3,200psi and sighted it in at 13yds. I
checked it at 20, then 40, then 65yds to see how it would group… The
wind was blowing mostly right to left but, it has a tendency to swirl really
bad here at times so, don’t fault the gun for the longer groups….I refilled
to 3,200psi, hooked up the Combro and let her rip….. It really looks like
this is going to be another boring, hit everything you aim at EDgun….lol
Here are the Chrony results….

35 Shots
High 797.00
Low 783.00
Extreme Spread 14.00
Average FPS 790.20
Average FPE 14.42
Std. Deviation 3.06
5 shots @ 20yds.. I had not yet adjusted the trigger and I pushed that one
shot right. Out of the box the trigger was pretty stiff… It is now nice and
light just like the Matador..
6 shots @ 40yds
5 shots @ 65yds. The elevation deviation looks great.. Can’t wait to see
what it will do in calm wind.
This is a Crosman CHP / JSB comparison 5 shots @ 20yds with the
same wind…
This is CHP / JSB 5 shots @ 40yds… Looks like the CHP’s really start to
open up.. One missed the target completely left.. Never was a big fan of
CHP’s anyways. No offense Steve…lol

Is there a posting for the Matador? I had a deposit in for a Matador in the last shipment, but apparently there was a shortage.
Do yourself a favor and buy Sherrod’s Matador… I am not saying that to help
him out… I am telling you that Sherrod’s stock is 1,000% nicer than what you
are going to get on a new one….
Well I shot another video indoors and it was pretty much impossible to
distinguish the difference between the Matador and Lelya… The Lelya has a
slightly higher pitched report than the Matador but they are at about the
same level…. Tried to load the vid to photobucket and something went
wrong.. No sound… Baaaah Humbug….lol

LOL. Well Mistman, no need for permission slips or empty promises here to
shoot inside…. This is definitely a man cave.. ….. I will give it a try
inside to see if I can get a better recording…. I had sent Tony an email
asking about the .22cal Lelya and asked if he would post the info here…
I am guessing that you would have to make some major shopping promises,
and reserve a week on a wellness and spiritual cleansing vacation at a
relaxation spa to get permission to acquire an EDgun>?…lol Sherrod has his
Matador for sale and I am not sure if people understand how GREAT the deal
he is offering is…. You will not find a new Matador in that condition.. That is a
guarantee.

But those shots in the open they get misleading…….
The surroundings and the open have a lot of influencing factor….
Indoor with all doors and windows closed with/without a projectile and for sure a very sturdy backstop and all other shooting precautions……..approval from the lady of the house….some commitments to go shopping…gives the perfect output of the sound output levels…and the camera does a good job too indoors…just a suggestion 😉

I learnt that with my Talon ss…..It has an unbelievable report when you record the sound levels indoors and outdoors….and ya Of course many folks know that as well….
And I was wondering what toshik wrote ” .22 Leljas exist but I have only .177 for sale now “…….Hope he didn’t mean that for me……..

LOL… You are right about the scope…. I have another Leapers 3-12X44
30mm Compact Mil-Dot Illuminated Scope coming. We will see if it is up to
the task… It is really hard to find a quality scope with variable
magnification and side wheel parallax… Snake eyes????
The video is uploading now but all I have is a digital camera so not much
in the way of excitement… It is mostly to try to show the difference in
sound between the Matador and Lelya…. The camera mic does not do a
very good job… Sounds about the same on camera to me…. You can hear
the shots land on the metal gas tank at 65yds…

Thanks synopsis… I have been lurking around on the Russian EDgun site.. I
have seen some reviews of the .22cal but, Tony has not indicated when or if
they were going to do the .22cal here…. I sent him an email… Hopefully he
will answer here…

I got some shots in with no detectable winds….. Really strange that my 65yd
and 80yd group were the same… I think things will tighten up once I put a
scope on with more magnification… The reticle is too fat and covers the 1/2″
bullseyes so I can not tell exactly where I am on the target….
These are all Air Arms 10.3gr
First is a 40yd 6 shot group….
