Lelya Shipment Update?

No I’m not saying this….
I had a negative experience but mainly due to poor after sales service….. (in combination probably with a monday production…)
The breech/bolt opening was just a bit “scarying” due to the high pressures involved and due to the fact that I knew I was probably “just a bit over the limit” but the gun actually was working fine.
While functioning it was very accurate and fun to shoot but I have always said they were not reliable as the bigger brother.
(But please don’t judge just on my personal experience, probably it was just 1 out of 1000 perfectly working guns. Unfortunately we know that the after sales service is/was not properly prepared for the minority…)
You mean after all of this thread in function Lelyas were junky? We were convinced they had secret healing powers. 😛
Magnificient Uncle  :hoot: ,
the “older versions” had a problem of the breech/bolt opening during/after the shot when the gun was set at a little higher speed, do you experience something similar?
Also mine was a “leaker” from day one (coming from the valve stem) and Ed was providing spare parts only once the year. In two years time I had to replace the valve two times and finally the gun was sitting mostly in the cupboard waiting for fixing due to long delivery times….
Probably this is also one of those reasons why I don’t rate the Edgun after sales care too much (but probably/hopefully things have improved ever since…)

My Leyla is accurate, extremely quiet, plenty powerful, tiny, nice looking, fits into a 24″ X 12″ case with room for accessories, and the price was right!
Now…where are those new ones, and how are they different? The only improvement I would make on this gun is to get a .25 caliber, if one could produce a decent shot count at 30 fpe, which I’m beginning to have questions about. That air cylinder is small.
I don’t believe it would be difficult to change calibers, given the design of the breech and barrel arrangement. It would depend on the valve capabilities. One question regarding the new Leyla’s is whether the valve has been changed in any way.

How you liking your leyla hoot?

The Irish have it all summed up in their song regarding “The Dark Arts” of medicine….the phrase “Shove it up your ass…” takes on new significance.
