Made in Germany barrel 50 yard groups
Had a chance to shoot 50 yards indoors with the new Mutant short that came with “Made in Germany” barrel. Disappointed with the grouping, best I could get was 3/4″. Most groups around 1″. Shot JSB 16 grain @ 820 FPS on a front rest and rear bag. SWFA 12×42 scope.
Unacceptable performance for an airgun on this level. My .25 R3M and .22 Cricket carbine are both sub-MOA shooters at 50 yards and I’d expect the shorty to be as well. I really want to like this gun, everything about it is fantastic except for the piece of crap barrel. What good is a gun that can’t hit what you’re aiming at? Even my lowly Prod with Chinese Crosman barrel shoots better than this. :rofl:
I have a call in to TGAG and am waiting for a replacement barrel coming with the next shipment in a few weeks. Good CS on their end. Hopefully a replacement does the trick otherwise I’ll have to consider sending it back.

also in i think you cannot compare to longer barrels guns … i have compare it with Edgun lelya 22 which is similar except lelya has LW barrel and i have notice in 50yards Taipan german barrel grouping better ( that’s only me ) and what i have seen
Barrel’s not clean, and not very dirty either. Cleaned when it first arrived with Ballistol patches. Only has had a few mags through since.
MOA isn’t a fixed distance. It’s 1/60th of a degree which works out to be ~1″ at 100 yards. MOA at 50 yards is ~1/2″, sub-MOA just means shooting under MOA. This explains it well: http://nssf.org/video/facts/MOA.cfm
Do they really think everyone is just stupid?? I told Peter Many times DO NOT SEND OUT THEM JUNK KOREAN BARRELS….. when this thing all went down they should of just pulled every barrel and thrown them in the scrap bin.

They should have junked the barrels for sure – I bought the gun based on the wording of the ad, which made it seem like the guns would come equipped with improved barrels. Not the case, I guess. Dman, I want to pick up one of your Listone barrels when you get them in.
3/8 sounds about right, that is .375 and my best at 58y is .33 with a 390mm barrel. How long is the shortys barrel?

Mugs the made in germany barrels are trash…. with the proper barrel the shorty outshoots the Leyla by a mile. Im practically stacking pellets at 40 yards….
well under .5″ at 50 more like 3/8′ or so..
What exactly is sub-MOA, is not one MOA slighly more than one inch? In my opinion these guns should be able to shoot half inch or less at 50

did you clean the barrel before test ? because i have notice this barrel likes to be dirty !

Let me show you what the baby mutant should do in your hands at 50 yards:
I told Peter the same thing as Dman1114. The dealer consortium that brought these guns in sold these guns to us with garbage barrels. They shot terrible and I wrote some strong words about the situation. It got ugly to say the least. To date, of the dealers selling Mutants there is only one who will not send his stock out until he gets the CZub barrels he orders. (Hint: talon tunes). I spoke with Tony and he will not send these guns out with those counterfeit barrels.
This is a great gun, the Mutant. Yesterday at our fun shoot everyone who shot my Mutant loved the gun. . If you bought guns from PT Barnum you should get a new barrel ASAP. Don’t settle for some unknown CZ barrel maker either. I would make them buy you a Listone barrel from Jamie.
