Q:

Matador R4

For those who is waiting for it, bad news. We got problems with production and I doubt we will have it ready at least until the end of the year 🙁

Sorry for that.

With the best regards

Why go thru the trouble of getting a suppressed .22 when you can shoot a quiet PCP of equal power with no hassle from the “bureaucrat’s”. Choices and a free man can do with his money what he wishes. :biggrinn:

Anyway I’ve got AR’s and FAL’s coming out of my posterior orifice so you should be able to relate…right?

I believe your problem doesn’t come from your posterior orifice but from your front orifice 😀

Why go thru the trouble of getting a suppressed .22?

1) Because it is cheaper
2) Because it is more versatile-
3) Because of more choice
4) Because of being quieter
5) Because of being independent
6) Because of being more reliable
7) Because of less maintanance (no o’rings, regulator, valve, etc)
8) Because of being less dangerous (with a pcp you have a 200-300 bar bomb in front of your eyes)
9) Because of having a much longer life
10) Because of not being a rip-off
11) Because I don’t have anything against “bureaucrats”
12) Because of being one of the best prepper tools
13) Because of having unlimited shotcount
14) Because I don’t need to buy a whole equipment
15) Because I can spend my money like I want and the budget is very limited
16) Because it is a real weapon that can compete with zombies
17) Because with just a box of ammo you are good to go (instead of first driving to a filling station)
18) Because gunsmithes are everywhere
19) Because spare parts are easily available (IF the gun fails)
20) Because no PCP has ever lasted 100 years
..) And many more because 😀

I almost forgot the most important because: “BECAUSE IT IS A BETTER TOOL”

What do you mean by “you should be able to relate”?

Probably you stock your guns the wrong way, just sayin’ 😀

PIPPO, dude, you crack me. Thanks for the 20+ corny reasons that I already am aware of..master of the obvious. You could shorten that to maybe 5 that are relevant but I know you like to make a scene. I didn’t buy my Edgun to be prepared, have unlimited shot count, to be cheap, kill zombies or whatever.

I own .22’s and I have a lot of ammo for them…boring. Do you recall, here in the STATES, that you couldn’t find .22 ammo for months? Nice to stock up just like anything else. I got the smoke sticks covered believe me. Anyway, If I wanted to talk .22 rimfire I would be on a different forum. I find the PCP much more challenging and enjoyable to shoot at this point in time. Hell I can even take it apart and maintain it thanks to those pesky valves!

See Exzivers comments….Can you really relate to having access to multiple firearms from PCP, battle rifles, handguns and shot guns but still liking to shoot high end PCP’s?

Till your next rant. Peace out.

But I think macviet6789@ posted some important message. Could you be that kind and translate it for me?

Probably would be a winner if it stays in the rimfire price category.

What makes you believe I speak that language? I don’t even know which language it is.

There is a “viet” in the username so it could be vietnamese but I didn’t serve in Vietnam so I don’t know 😀

If ever I live in an area that allows me to get a hold of real guns Pippo then I am sure I will agreewith you, there are some real nice looking ones out there.

Pippo, I totally agree with you that .22LR subsonic is a way better than PCP for pesting. Ed proposed to make Matador in .22LR and I would buy it. Imagine .22LR in a bullpup with a silencer and subsonic ammo. Mouse fart and around 100 ft/lbs of energy.

But I think macviet6789@ posted some important message. Could you be that kind and translate it for me?

You should do like Ed, don’t listen and just do what is best for your own advantage.

Some like money, others like pseudo-guns, you should keep your pseudo guns if letting them go hurts you so much (but don’t be worried ther will be always newer and better airguns).

They are not as good as a rimfire for pest control but you can always tell the contrary, somebody out there without experience may even believe what you say and eventually spend 1500+ USD on the wrong tool.

(Please don’t consider me as an Edgun hater because when talking about the advantages of a rimfire over an airgun for pest control then in theory I should be considered as a general Airgun hater where actually I’m only an objective person without hidden agenda nor personal interest).

Well the R4 is on hold for now. I am really pleased with the improvements Ed made on the R3. When I get new ones in I keep telling myself I’m going to keep one but alas a customer talks me out of it. I was going to keep my last shorty but she’s gone.

Remember Ed changed the game from his little workshop in Russia. He didn’t invent the bullpup but without the Matador most of this board wouldn’t exist. I have no doubt in the coming years he will change the game. I remember the first time I saw the matador R3 on Ted’s YouTube. I remember reading old goat matador posts thinking I must have that sexy gun. I was hooked, the once hardcore powder burner shooter was 14 again with the most bad ass BB gun I had ever seen.

I look forward to the future of EDgun, I look past the haters and see new toys to share with my bros and kids.

Soooo, how about that r4 eh?

Probably a nice expensive single shot bullpup but certainly not as a good as a cheap rimfire for critters shooting 😀

I perfectly agree that the main theme should be airguns and I’m speaking about airguns by comparing them to rimfires.

In a recent post somebody said that rimfires are too loud and no good for pesting compared to pcps and I’m just completing the information.

The rimfire is THE PESTING TOOL BY DEFINITION and saying they are not good is just wrong, actually no pcp can really compete in this domain.

Concerning hiding to wives, I know what you are speaking about … 😀

Yes PLEASE leave the rimfire talk for a different forum.

pippo we are here to discuss airguns, I am not sure what your sudden obsession is with rimfire rifles or why you have been hijacking every thread with your idea of the perfect rimfire. I invite you to join me here: http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/ we can discuss rimfires from the .17mach to the .22 mag. ad nauseam. I have more rimfire rifles than I care to mention in public in case my wife reads my posts.

Now back to airguns…

And the winner is?

DanT55 :8: Congrats!!! :8:

You won a free spare plastic valve for your .30 cal matador (shipping fees not included) !!! :8:

Shit, I already have a bunch. What else you got Pain in Peoples Posterior Orifice? Do you take checks?

Sorry man, didn’t know you are already full of crap

You don’t have a multishot so a plastic mag is of no use to you.

What about a plastic plug for your orifice? (Don’t misunderstand, I mean a dust cover for the filling port)

I do have a multi shot. What do you have besides a gushing orifice?

Regarding the cost of PCP I would say it is a matter of manufacturing scale, customer demand and accessibility.

Why go thru the trouble of getting a suppressed .22 when you can shoot a quiet PCP of equal power with no hassle from the “bureaucrat’s”. Choices and a free man can do with his money what he wishes. :biggrinn:

Owning illegally a weapon?

Yours risks to become an expensive hobby my friend.

But I start to understand why each time you have a honest but negative critics about Edguns you are immediately under attack.

Apparently many worldwide have created a “Rip-off Empire” based on Edguns.
