Q:

Meet the Taipan Mutant….(updated)

.22 cal multi shot.

Heres the whole family…. :8: :8: :8:
yeh the baby is only 22.75″ long….

These don’t discriminate… left or right. Just flip the linkage over and away you go. (this is a pic of the Taipan 2 but they are basically the same, Predesessor of the mutant)

Pretty sweet trigger if i might add…

I will have more info to follow in the coming days…. I figure i would at least throw some pics up …. and get this ball rolling.

They made in Ukraine…..

and now they are available in the US…..

The manufacture claims….

60 shots at 34 FPE…. 250 bar fill .22 cal.

They use CZ barrels…

also avail in .17 cal.

I filled one up tonight to 200 bar and loaded a magazine with jsb 18’s …. it shot 943-947 the whole 12 shots

These come with a soft case. 2 12 round mags.( they fit the Pred’s and other long pellets) a single shot tray, fill probe, orings and tools to adjust the Hammer spring. and to remove the baffles from the shroud….

Tommarow i will take some more pictures and start shooting these…

How much is a shorty? What Caliber do they come in? How much do they weigh? Are they backyard friendly? When will they be available?

.22 caliber, and .177. (But only..22 coming In on this shipment) They are around 6lbs and 22 inches long

No idea how.it will be. But … it’s got a short barrel and a short shroud . So i wouldn’t expect it to be silent . Guess we.will have to see. ….

As far as availability . Standby for that info shortly … will have some solid news soon enough.

You can always contact wwag. They will be handling sales and service… from here on out.

If WWAG was the only vender that I could buy a new airgun from I WOULD not buy it or BUY USED! WWAG gets none of my hard earned money! They are lucky I speak nicely about their customer service outside that I am like an old fucking Italian mobster with a long memory and a general bad disposition. You fucked me I don’t forget.

The espresso colored stock looks awesome. And the wood grains looks silky smooth compared to the one on the right. All they need is a nice logo towards the butt end of the stock and some grooves for your fingers in the foregrip and it’s money! Nicest Taipan 2 stock I’ve seen. The Taipan 1 stock is still the best though.

I believe it’s a nice looking gun!

Hagan does superb work, I’ve had his stuff before and it’s really good.

What caliber did you get???

Hoot:

I got the .22 version. Had a couple of issues with the HW100 LDC but I think its due to me tuning it to low (815fps-820fps). Finally got to an LDC
that worked but I think I’ll have to bring it up to the original power setting to maximize regulator efficiency and so I can use shorter LDCs.
Still tinkering with it, totally impressed with overall features.

That brown one in the Last pic was really hard for me to let go LOL….. i so bad wanted to keep it.

Well the fact that the stocks are different shades makes for one of guns. Kind of makes them custom and unique. I think it’s cool. :hoot:

My long awaited Taipan.
What a nice piece of work. Took me a long time to find the correct LDC as I expected it to work with the common brands (HW100 etc..).
Finally settled for a carbon fiber that I’ve had for a while. Very accurate!!! I’m so happy!!

Details…knumb-nutz…Details!!!!

Where did you score that fine looking CF shroud? That stock color isn’t factory either…tell us everything!!! (we know where you live…)

Kind regards,

Hoot:

DEAR OLD Hoot: …

I think that the guy that mixes the dyes for the stock has been Drinking some of that Arkansas whiskey … Its like playing the lottery i haven’t seen 2 that were identical yet.

I’ll post the LDC picture in a bit.
The shroud on the picture is the stock one. Its metal with the baffle system that screws on the barrel 1/2-20.
The cap is the thread adapter from Hagan. The LDC is not on the picture.
This Taipan is incredibly!! quiet with shroud and LDC, just unreal to hear it, sounds like its broken.
As far as the stock goes, don’t know why I got this color. Since gun is so hard to get, I was not picky on the stock. Almost looks like dark purple when you get close to it..

That looks like OEM shroud with the end cap replaced with a 1/2 x 20 adapter and an aluminum cover for it.
