Q:

Meet the Taipan Mutant….(updated)

.22 cal multi shot.

Heres the whole family…. :8: :8: :8:
yeh the baby is only 22.75″ long….

These don’t discriminate… left or right. Just flip the linkage over and away you go. (this is a pic of the Taipan 2 but they are basically the same, Predesessor of the mutant)

Pretty sweet trigger if i might add…

I will have more info to follow in the coming days…. I figure i would at least throw some pics up …. and get this ball rolling.

They made in Ukraine…..

and now they are available in the US…..

The manufacture claims….

60 shots at 34 FPE…. 250 bar fill .22 cal.

They use CZ barrels…

also avail in .17 cal.

I filled one up tonight to 200 bar and loaded a magazine with jsb 18’s …. it shot 943-947 the whole 12 shots

These come with a soft case. 2 12 round mags.( they fit the Pred’s and other long pellets) a single shot tray, fill probe, orings and tools to adjust the Hammer spring. and to remove the baffles from the shroud….

Tommarow i will take some more pictures and start shooting these…

The internals look very good. I can remember now a Taipan way back in 2011 that had a nice walnut stock posted somewhere. I think it was made in the Ukraine but they put “Made in USA” on them. :biggrinn: If its the same outfit they should be pretty battle tested by now. I think the issue was always the export. I also think they are the same design but with modifications now like a bigger air tube the stocks are completely different. The only thing I remember that I didn’t like was the large magazines sticking up on the old ones.

With the Compact Cricket at 24.5 in .177 if a Shortie is less than 23″ in .177 and is superb that might be the new magazine fed gun to beat. Now if I can get my hands on one before Ernest does. Actually, I would like his expert opinion on it as well. (I see he already wants one 😛 )

That baby is cute. Any idea of the other specs?

coda … Ill look into that for yah…. My next shipment will be mostly shorty’s. Just need to work out the Logistics. Theres a reason that these are just apearing in the US now.

I did some chrony work today… ran a full string. I got 71 shots from 894 – 912 FPS. 250 bar Fill All the ones I’ve Aired up and shot over the chrony are shooting at 940’s

I didn’t mess with anything Other than the Hammer Adjustment cause i want this to be an Out of the box experience. They are very quiet. at the 900 fps range.

I do think that they may need a little tweeking to get them to shoot a really flat string ( simple reg adjustment ) and i think there is more than 71 shots at the 900 range.

so far I’m very impressed.

Dman,

The fit and finish looks great. Out of the box, your groupings look promising. I’m sure once she settles in, you’ll be stacking pellets with the gun. Congrats and good luck in your new venture.

Dman 1114 , why so serective on cost ? If you have some for sell be open like any retailer and let the general public know what the cost
is for each that you have available in size and caliber . The way you presented yourself , made you look shady and I wouldn’t want to
trust you . I hope that I’am wrong and you are really a nice person .

I’m pretty sure we can trust him

Yeh Your right Birdman … Thank you for pointing that out i should of posted some more info

anyhow… To clear it all up. Ive been Eyeing these for a long time and have wanted one so since they were not available in the US i have decided to make them available.

due to logistics at the current time i was only able to get the .22 STD. The manufacture advised me that he also makes them in shorty and long. Hence the picture. (probably shouldn’t of teased everyone with the shorty).

Right now i have a limited quantity of these in stock. Im currently going through them and airing them up and making sure they are good to go.

These Are currently Priced at 1400$. and they come with a soft case. 2 alluminum Magazines, an aluminum single shot tray some spare Orings, and 4 pins (2 for the LDC cap and 2 to adjust the HST)

So if anyone wants one They should Email me or PM. I will be Doing some shot strings today and target shooting to see how they group. So i will report back later today with more info.

I just got in from doing a grouping. I aired it up to 250 bar and used the single shot adapter. shooting JSB 18.1’s 940- 950 fps. ( I want to show real deal out of the box stuff)

target is set at 40 yards… shooting off my bench here I didn’t sort just loaded right out the tin.

sat down aired it up mounted my scope and here is the first 10 shots at 40 Yards This group is just a little over half inch. Im confident that these are much better than the dummy behind the trigger. very impressed with the way it shoots… These are at Around the 950 fps mark also. so i would imagine these will shrink up once its turned down some.

Flipped this one so it is a lefty now
