Q:

micrometer bottle "air dump"

I have a micrometer bottle for an AirForce condor and the bottle dumps all its air each time I shoot a single pellet. It does NOT empty the bottle when I dry fire the gun. I’ve double checked the pellet’s seating position, changed pellet types, set the hat adjustment adjusting up from 0.070 to 0.076, etc. The bottle is brand new from the store but is marked as Dec 2005. What am I missing or should I return the bottle and try a different one?
Thanks!

I think you need to take out the extra hammer weight with the m.m.t… 😯 😯 😉 Did you have the pw turned down all the way with the mmt?

The top hat gaps will be different even for the same type of valves. I have two talon valves, one th can be at 0.07″ and the other at 0.110″ and the 0.07″ produces 200 extra fps with all other things equal… 😕 Go figure…

Haha, your playing in between good and great now, depending on how well your gun performs. When you get to “best” what you are spending now is chump change. Those edguns, field target guns, fancy european guns; you start getting into a few thousand dollar guns. 😯 It’s pretty crazy actually…

But you’re welcome. 😀 Where did you get the bottle?

Thanks

If you are seating it correctly and everything you are doing is correct, take it back to the store and get a new one. No sense fighting with it if you can just swap it for a good one.

Now, if the next one does the same thing, then start looking at your gun, but this one is probably a lemon and needs to be exchanged.
