Q:

Most Silent Air Pistol ???

Hi Folks could someone shed some light on the finest Airpistol Spring/PCP
that could be in the range of 650fps to 800fps. (.177 Cal)

But it has to be quite as a mouse fart like when you have one of the Tony Shrouds on the Talon/Condors.

Budget around 200$$$ to 400$$$

Does the back half of the “slide” pull back for both cocking and loading?

Yes, that’s correct. The slide from about the trigger back moves back, you drop in a pellet, close it and you re ready to go.

Much better picture, can see the trigger blade a bit from the front now, looks as if it is not as thin as I thought.
At first it looked thin as the 1377 triggers, which with a heavy trigger pull, would be uncomfortable.
But, a trigger shoe would be easy enough to add at least.

Very nice looking pistol there.
How do you load it?

That would be a pretty cool setup. A bit like racking the slide on a semi-auto handgun.

well if u wanna pack a whallop go with a mountain air 1325 or 2540
they pack a punch
if u want a dead nutz accurate gun out of box and can shoot at the feeder all day and accurate also get an LD 😈

I just wanted to ask a question? I was looking at a custom pcp hunter from mountain air. I was also looking at the new pcp on its way the maurader . I am not a tinkerer, I want to buy something that packs a whallop and shoots the day I get it with sighting in of course. This is a feeder gun and I want it to eliminate certain pests. I have a condor and a talon ss to mess with! what pistol do I want??

quote acourvil:

I had an LD and I sold it when I got the Veles. Both are great air guns. The Veles is lighter, shorter and feels more like a hand gun. I always thought the LD was heavy and although it is balanced if set up properly, it didn’t really feel like a pistol with the long barrel and hanging tank.

The Veles provides more velocity, so the flat part of the trajectory is longer. The LD was more of a rainbow trajectory. The Veles shoots ~700 fps with .177 JSB heavies, which the LD was more like 500-550 fps with .22 pellets.

I’m not a great shooter, but I can hit a golf ball at 35 yards with the Veles and a red dot sight pretty easily, and shots to 50 yards are quite manageable. I could do that with the LD as well, but I thought it was much harder.

thanks for the info
i cant wait to see some distance groupd with the celes i think im going to have and save up now 😯
i like the idea of a pcp pistol with a high shot count
i was tempted to look into a Alpha match pistol for the high shot count and for the plinking and target shooting in the back yard

Sweet looking gun that Veles is…
The trigger blade looks a bit thin… Does it need a trigger shoe to make it feel better? Or is it just a poor angle on the picture?
Not that I can afford one… just wondering.

You guys are so inspiring……..Will do my best……The wait is on…

“please do try to compete then if it is shooting better i can justify spending a grand in an air PISTOL ” 😈

From what I have read, you might have to spend a grand in an air PISTOL. πŸ˜›

Let me have it and then my 2 cents…….

Hey Jeff,

Those are my prayers

“If the Veles is anything like the Matador you will not be disappointed… You
could take it out of the box and compete with it….”

And ya I even thought about the Matador, but am extremely happy with the groups off my talon with the regulated tank upto 65 yards.
The talon with regulated tank drops a sqeaky at 65 yards at -2 mil dot.
Shot to Shot…I haven’t tested a shot group on paper…..but many crows have gone down…and my regulated talon spits at 700 fps with the JSB Kodiaks….

Any distance beyond that the Condor speaks. :4

Its the max $$$ I have put and I ever will put in an airgun…Ok let me be specific an air pistol…

And ya crowpopper ” i know the LD is a tack driver and off hand at 50 i was shooting 2 inchers
on a rest i know i can be at 1 inch”

I’ll test the veles and give a full write up….not to compete with your groups but will sincerely try my best.”

My write up might not be as good as Jeff’s matador review with pics…….but I am sure it be good for a start.

And if you guys want me to test anything specific with the veles, just shout on this topic and I’ll do that….
