Most Silent Air Pistol ???
Hi Folks could someone shed some light on the finest Airpistol Spring/PCP
that could be in the range of 650fps to 800fps. (.177 Cal)
But it has to be quite as a mouse fart like when you have one of the Tony Shrouds on the Talon/Condors.
Budget around 200$$$ to 400$$$

by either smith I was referring to either Darrin at Pacific Pelletguns or Roy at Mountain Air. Another option is Mike at TKO
all build decent Disco pistols
as far as the bits for a build if you can import the gun you should be able to import the custom parts to assemble one
this is real easy work once you aquire the parts!
Roget That 🙂
I don’t remember exactly how much I paid for it, it was closed to $900.00 shipped with additional moderator. I think you better ask Tony about the pricing.
You have me sold for Veles.
Am just awaiting the quote. As I wait, How much did you get yours for ???
The Veles does 700+ FPS with heavy pellets, I did not try the light pellets, so I have no idea. Veles does awesome job, super accurate as is, no aditional tunes required.
I would love to do the Project work as rob3dr and Riverside wrote.
But the right tools are darn expensive out here…..Raw materials also becomes a pain when we have to get it to the right specs…..If I try to take it out to get the work done…the lathe/cnc guys say not again with your small work…… 🙁
I do a lot of RND with my Talon/Condor when it comes to minor tweaks.
I would not take my chances on working on a project like you mentioned cauz of the above factors. It also takes a couple of trial and errors to get the job done perfect and to reap better results…while I end up spending more than the actual buy would have cost me. 😯
And hey Riverside who is Either smith ? some more info please…..
I might write to him for a customization like you mentioned while am waiting for toshik’s reply.
Then its the $$$ from which I’ll have to choose….Cheers !!!
Dont think your P1 would be doing more than 600fps…
Upto 800 fps is a criteria for the pistol hunt….
🙂
Have sent him a PM/Mail ….let see the pricing which would help me finalize….Appreciate your help….
Thanks a ton with the overwhelming response. !!!
Yes you are spot on…
I have been laughing pretty hard over all the hype over Crosman FINALLY introducing PCP platform pistols at a $300.00 to $400.00+ price point.
Heres the deal, one can build a custom Disco based pistol for less than the projected Crosman MSRP and build it with bits most folks end up using to replace the trash Crosman sticks inside their guns…
examples:
Steel breech…get a nice left hand Stainless Colthran Machine unit
Pressure Tube…same source in Stainless with the gauge left off
Barrel band…blued or Stainless
Valve…B&A Max flo
Steel safety
Custom trigger
LW barrel or recrown and worked Crosman .177 from MAC1
Heavy hammer spring
Custom grips
Stainless screw set
then the rest Crosman spare parts
this can be built for under $400 bucks and its all assembly.
Here is one of my own .22 Disco pistols with a DAQ breech, Colthran tube & band, Corrocan stock and other upgraded bits. The only pain in the ass is waiting for some of the parts…LOL
This little gem is pushing pellets at the mid 800 range now but I am tearing it down to buid up a real nasty using a .22 Falcon Hawk repeater breech on the Colthran Tube.
Projects…they never, ever end…

If you still want to know pricing of the Veles, please PM a member here with a screen name “toshik” aka Tony Rudenko, his email address is trudenko@yahoo.com
Myself I would suggest considering something in the here & now and that would be a Pacific Airguns or Mountain Air Disco based pistol in .177 fitted with a TKO or Rich in MI shroud.
Either smith can build your pistol to YOUR specifications and you will end up with a FAR better product than anything that comes out of the Crosman factory.
As far s silence…any decent 1/2×20 moderator can screw right on a Crosman barrel fitted with an adapter.
Exactly….
or if you were a bit adventurous, you could build your own.
My first 22xx pcp build ended up being a 2240 body with a 14 inch .177 barrel… Disco valve and fill assy, 2250 tube… filled to 1600psi, I get about a dozen shots at the 720fps mark in .177. Coupled with a HDD, it’s both quiet and efficient. Add a TKO brake and it’s just a slight ‘pfft’ when fired and is deadly accurate.
my P1 in .177 is pretty damn quiet but i dunno if thats what ur lookin for
While the MROD pistol is a possible option its pretty much vaporware at this point with no one for certain on its ACTUAL Delivery date, muchless Final Configuration. As for it being a repeater…who cares. If it retains a right-handed bolt that feature will be next to worthless for right handed shooters.
