I talked to Dmitriy and he said they will make a shorty with a 350mm barrel.. he reads the forums and understands that there is interest in a shorty .25
The attractiveness of a Mutant Short is that it remains short! One of the disadvantages of it now is its airtube diameter could be a bit larger to add capacity without length. Making the airtube 1-2″ longer is a compromise but that begs the question, why make it longer and have it start to resemble the Standard version? At that point, it wouldn’t make sense to offer a Mutant Short that’s so close in length to a Standard. For those that want the power of a .25 and shot count, they’re going to buy a .25 Standard or Long anyways.
Speculation is just that , Speculation . Two pictures of gun parts is also just that , two pictures of gun parts that
really do not mean anything at all . No gun design of any kind to go with two pictures of gun parts to show that
the Mutant makers really are considering/making a .25 Shorty . I have no faith that they will make a .25 Shorty
until they Publicly announce that they have one on the drawing board , until then this subject is just plain Bull-

Yea I agree 100% with Hoot on this seems like he got his shit together, or piled his shit in pile. or just shit in one spot.
I do agree with Hoot on the sales , He seems to have all his shit together, I hope he is not constipated and shit is building up.
But like I said , I do agree with Hoot we NEED a short high powered 25 Mutant Veteran with a good shot count, That to me is a least 12 shots.
Now if Hoot wants to shoot the shit with a 60 high power shot count, He needs to under stand putting shit in that barrel of a PCP is very bad for accuracy, I know Hoot likes to shoot the shit, But I got a good link for some cleaning patches that will clean his barrels like new,
I know he was telling me the rabbit pellets are good for 22 cal and deer and sheep pellets are better in the 25 cal guns.
I think Hoot is telling me a line of shit, I am sticking to my JSB pellets,

There’s no magic in getting a Mutant Shorty in .25 caliber up to 925 fps…it’s been done with 12″ barrels, and the Mutant Shorty’s last barrel was 14″ long. Add an inch or so to the air cylinder and you have a pcp that will sell quite well.
The key is no one wants a Shorty that is short on power, caliber, or shot count. If the gun has to grow an inch or two, who cares? The end result is what we want…accuracy, light weight, power, FPE, shot count in a small package!
The market is empty of offerings there, if Taipan desires to fill it then sales will tell the tale.

(1) Mutant Veteran is a really stupid name . (2) I was under the impression that they were going to make
a .25 Shorty which I have the money and would have bought one , kind of pissed me off when I heard
that they decided not to make .25 Shorty . (3) Now it would be a toss up between .25 Shorty or a .30
Leshiy if ED would make one , since it seems neither will become a reality my money will just stay in
my pocket and I’ll wait to see whats’ new coming out for 2017 , maybe a bullpup in semi-auto ?

I think it will be a big mistake, if the owner does not make & sell a short 25 Mutant.:suprisedn:
1# there is lots of bullpups too own, that are standard size all ready in the market place now.
That are 27-28 inches long. What drew me to the Mutant shorty in the first place was it’s short size, ( no one else was selling a bullpup that size.)
2# To compete with others in the market place.
You can bet that when Edgun Lelya mark II comes out, he’ll be selling a 25. Lelya.
I think he, will lose sales, from not building a short 25.
People will just go & buy it some where else.
3# with the bigger o.d. air tube, I still think the shot count, will be ok.
I bet it will still, give three mags on a fill. Even if it would give two I’d still buy it.
I really don’t care if I only get two mags, most people will be using it for hunting or pests.
That’s all you need any way.
I have the money set aside, for a 25. short, I want one.
And what about Mutant AK ?
