Q:

My California Condor .25 Cal Talon Tune special!!

Yup.. It finally showed up 😛
I placed a down payment of 50% about 12 weeks ago or so. No hurry. Here are some photos of Anthony’s service for those who have considered or wondered about his work. A couple of years ago Tony built me a Talon SS custom in .22 cal with a nice 21″ barrel. Since then I have cleaned the bore and replaced the O rings and basically enjoyed cleaning it and maintaining it in my armory safe. At that time I was so pleased I knew I would have this guy build me my Condor when I could afford it.
Well here it is from UPS to my bench.
It is what I expected too! A 1st class operation indeed! Take a peak…

He has done this a few times eh? 😯

Tony also turned me on to a cool sample of 43 grain Korean Eunjin Pellets as seen on the left paper here notice the upper 800’s! The lighter 25 grain .25 cal Kodiaks did well over 900fps with a 21″ barrel. Notice the group hole at 38 yards.

I placed a 16X Center Point scope on it. It feels nice and ballenced and it is plenty of scope for the $$! Good for what I am doing.
I have placed it together and I will be sighting it in very soon. Right now I just basically finsihed setting it up and making sure it feels right.

I went with the Walkonking Butt plate since I have that other cool custom butt plate on my Talon SS.
I am very pleased with it. It is adjustable and very confortable. Now I have the best of both worlds. they look good in my armory side by side.
There may come a time when they don’t exist any more.
Tony may not do this forever.
A special thanks to Talon Tunes and all the folks out here who have given me help with choosing the right pellet! I love the Kodiak in my Talon. Such a winner!

What can I say… California Condor “Im stoaked” 8)
That .25 cal with a 21″ barrel is the way to fly.

Hey guy,…With a 24″ barrle in .25 cal does your fps increase compared to my 21″ .25 cal?
I want quiet so I have those shroud pieces on the front where a 24″ becomes a bit too long ya know. 😉
So how is your fps with that 24″er?

i ordered a .25 cal 24in barrel 😈 from tony and got it the other day and man this thing is fun as hell to shoot. shortly after i placed the order for the barrel i decided to order a talon ss from tony in a 12in .25cal model 😈 . still havent gotten it yet but i cant wait. looking forward to getting the mail now. but in all great work from tony at talon tunes the barrel was first class worksmanship 😀 . thanks tony

I had this Condor on the back of my mind for about two years now.
With the changing world and things that evolve I just wanted to to seal the deal. The Airforce rifles are a real kick.
Even out of the box with my Talon SS before I found Tony I was really impressed. But that heavier brass hammer and that cool rebult bolt. Larger O rings… trigger shoe..etc… Need I explain. My favorite part is the Quiet!! SHhhhhhh… quiet… Your parents will hear us 😯 😀
Pretty quick here I will sight in the Condor. Once I am truly satisfied with the scope level getting my scope true to my bore.

I can buy any other PCP but when I see a nice tuned Talon/Condor rig like that I always reflect back to where it all began. Talontunes does such fine work.

Very nice rifle you have there, enjoy.
