-FYI-
I’ve used the combros crony on my .25 m-rod and condorSS with no problems! 😀
According to the manufacture it is for use with 177 and 22 cal only, but the 25 cal is a tight ,,, ,, , can do.

Ive shot the ends off my Combro 4 times now…. Theyre a UK company, and for a mere £7.50, they will replace it…

Very nice Shot String Jan !!!
That crony reminds me of the Combro-cb-625-MK4.
I bought one to take with me to the farms to check speeds.
It’s okay for the price and parts are easy to get also.

Air Chrony. Looks home made but works like charm. I have the “table top” model. Good stuff indeed.

Test velocity of my cricket 🙂

Yesterday I set my valve spring to 1/2 turn after contact with spring. Speed Is set to 880fps (268mps) so I will test efficiency. Accuracy is good with this speed.
His regulator is set to 120bar as mine too.
That is an interesting find Jan.
The US version of cricket uses a stiffer spring also.
I know that Ernest tunes some of the guns with a lighter one.
My 22 standard is already very constant at 1/2 turn with stiffer spring.
I don’t known when, but I’ll try it the next time I go inside again.
Viete, kde je jeho regulátor nastavený na? :biggrinn:
Do you know where is his regulator set to ?

Hey Greg, I found information about valve spring tension on Russian kalibrgun forum. There is one man with great workmanship regarding to crickets… He advice on Czech cricket use only 1/4 turn after contact with spring. On Russian old crickets were used weaker spring and there is necessary to use at least 2 turn after contact… But in the Czech version of cricket is used stiffer spring.
Original:
50 meters – 10 shots – 880fps 18grain

63 meters – 8 shots – 880fps 18grain

I watched on manometer every shot when needle slightly passed 120bar I got immediately 267mps – 266mps ect. I think regulator is set right there 😆
Yes that’s some very tight groups Jan !!
No peck after 120 bar is a good indication that your reg is set to optimum.
My 22 standard likes JSB 18g the best at 268mps (880 fps), it shoots them like a laser !
I usually keep buying large amounts of them from different places every mouth or 2.
I keep tract of all the lot/batches that gives the most accuracy in each gun.
I have many tins of JSB 18g pellets in storage going back to 1990s.
I tread and sell some pellets tins that shoot better in my friends guns.
One day I need to go back and try 280.4mps (920 fps) to see if the grouping has improved.
