My New Vulcan Tactic 25 Cal
I thought I’d share my experiences so far with my new Vulcan Tactical. I got it from Charlie at Georgia Air Guns yesterday evening. I got my bipod and Hawke SW Tac mounted on it and somewhat sighted in.
First impressions out of the box was that it felt lighter than what I was expecting after all of the speculation and dread of the weight. The finish on the metal and wood was flawless too. The wood is pretty slick so care needs to be taken when handling it.
First shots, quieter than what I was expecting. Definitely back yard friendly. I would say quieter than my Cricket 25 for sure and actually quieter than my Daystate Regal 22. It came shooting 887-898 for 45 regulated shots and then a couple off the regulator if pushed. Magazine performed perfect, fit and finish and the way it rotated into the action keeps the straight lines of the receiver solid looking. Cocking the hammer is a little rough but a couple of drops of oil helped that a lot. I figure more shooting will also get it smoothed out as well.
Accuracy, looks like it’s going to be a keeper. I had breezy wind all day but managed to keep the pellets in one of the small orange dots at sixty yards pretty easily. Hopefully tomorrow I can get some good groups going and try some Benjamin Domes as well as the Kings that I shot today. I got an email from Evgeny last month and he explained to me that the black synthetic stocks will only cost about $60 and yes they’ll be updating the website to include the new stocks in May. I’m currently waiting on my upgraded hammer and spring and an upgraded manometer because mine is about 35bar to low. Evgeny said he sent me a package over a month ago but still haven’t gotten it so I emailed him today and I’m waiting on a response. Notice the incorrect gauge in the bottom picture.

I have been told by too different people that they are getting in the first Synthetic stock Vulcans
I ask for a price so I could lock one down, But know one has gotten back to me.
May is coming up pretty quick, Sure would like to know something…

I like the look of a nice wood stock, but for me I prefer a synthetic stock, It takes a little more abuse and does not show it….
Just wish I could get a price where I could lock one down on the first order.

Yes sir me too Mike! I want one of those stocks. I’ve already put dings in the wood on mine and I added a rail to the bottom of it for a bipod. Did that about a week before the thread about the synthetic new stocks that are coming out… Had I know about those, I wouldn’t have drilled holes in the wood stock. Since getting the Vulcan, I haven’t done much with my Crickets. It has been the death of many starlings and sparrows (and a few turtles n snakes too). :8:

Get a custom stock, people in poland are big (and cheap) on that
I made contact with Evgeny yesterday and enquired about the option of getting a different stock, his first reply was that the new plastic stock would be available in late May. I had asked nothing about a plastic stock. 😯 Cool, he replied and had misunderstood my question, understandable with the language barrier. He did confirm that the first batch was produced in that shape, yup.. He also said buying a new stock would be very expensive, yup…. My reply was that I wasn’t looking for a plastic stock and maybe one of the new stocks could be shipped to one of the U.S. dealers and I could exchange. His reply was the only option was to “process manually” 😕 I replied back that if he was referring to me whittling away at my stock that wasn’t an option either. That was the last correspondence that I heard from him so I never really understood what processing manually meant for sure. I was being polite the whole time and trying to come to some sort of resolution. I was really expecting a better outcome. Oh well we’ll see what happens. I may have to “process manually” or buy a plastic stock. 🙄 🙄

My tactic has the butt-pad that follows the stock contour. Or, the stock contour follows the but-pad.
You should shoot them an email to see about getting the newer stock.

The buttstock is way too square at the bottom.. My Tactic has a buttstock shape that follows the same as the shoulder pad you have.
Guys, this butt pad is from the bullpup version. They used that for the rifle and you see how it looks like. Of course there is a butt pad crafted for a rifle but possibly it was not available as of time of the gun assembling.
gun to look really FUCKED-UP . Butt Pad is way too narrow for the rifles’ wooden Butt Stock . Either get a wider Butt Pad or
reduce the width of the wooden Butt Stock . Or just remove the Butt Pad and leave the rifle as is .

Okay , the only way to put this issue straight is to say that the Butt Pad really looks stupid and makes the Butt Stock on this

As you know the stock to butt pad fit was a little to be desired, imho. I was told by a couple of others that that’s just they way they are. I kept thinking something was wrong and why would AGT ship it out fitting like it did. My conclusion was that they were needing to get the gun on the market asap. I saw another stock on one of the other forums and it looked nice. I enquired weather he had worked the stock over to make it fit right or did it come out of the box that way. Out of the box was the reply. I have a note into AGT trying to find out if another stock is an option for me. Haven’t heard back yet but not worried. Here’s a photo of mine.
