We are going to have a contest called “Name the Lama”
We want the best more creative name for our Notorious Forum Member “LAMA” he has tortured us with that name and multiple Lama references for years and now it is time to give him a new Forum Name!
We want the most creative and original name suggestion! They can be a colorful as possible and a picture might give you an edge!
I will be a judge and so will Tony…even though I have not asked him yet..lol That way Tron and Ninja can participate.
Our sponsor for this Constest is Akula. He will send the winner $100 as the prize.
So here is an example of how “Name the Lama Contest” should go.
I think Lamas new name should be is “Mr Piggy” or Little Pinky..lol

For a $100 bucks here are some of my favorite names for our boy Lama. In no particular order.
Dirty Harry- Lawerence of A’labia
Nuglor – Dances with Men, Pancake
1/2 Dead – Captain Wee, Mangina, Alter Boy, Mr. Pink, Choad, Alabama Granma Rammer.
Rob – Mesohawnay
Riff Raff – Hasn Bin Laid, Needle Juice
Volsr1 – Mr. Ass Face
J3 Magnum – Chocolate Starfish, Naked Mole Rat
Cold Shot – Dam Humper
These are some of the favorites and the ones to beat. Lets have some more entires….Lama Loves the Attention!
I’ve also got a Browning 7mm Mag with the BOSS system, but I just don’t find it to be quite as accurate as my No1.
Better hang on to that No1 they don’t amke em in 270 weatherby any more…Ruger has chambered some really cool rounds in those over the years…I have one that I put a 6mm/284 barrel on that i love….I’m a sucker for the falling block actions…I have a winchester 1885 in 270WSM that i really like as well……

No, no rant at all. You’re just telling it like it is. 😆 I went hunting this past November and did a little sight in at the camp the night before the first hunt. At 100 yrds. I was able to overlap 3 shots into 1 ragged hole. They weren’t perfectly on top of each other, but each hole was touching the other one. I was pretty happy…. and yeah, it kicks like a freakin’ WILD mule. I used this rifle to take a 195 pound mule deer in New Mexico about 6 years ago. He was on the move and I took the shot between a couple of stands of trees that he was passing through. When I hit him, he literally did a back flip on the spot and didn’t move. The deer I took this past November just fell over. The round passed clean through his shoulder and out the other side (of course). It left a pretty nasty exit wound. It is a single shot that loads through the top rear of the breech and I’ve really gotten used to it. I’ll never get rid of it. It will be passed down to my son someday.
That’s pretty sexy looking. 🙂
I was playing with a gun with that kind of loading mechanism at the local gun store. They feel pretty wierd. Pretty cool though.
The place I shop sells rounds for my gun with 130g bullets. Their almost going 4000fps. Good varmint round. 😛 😛 😛 I prefer the heavier stuff for more power though.
How accurate is that one? From what I’ve heard, that kind of action is supposed to be one of the more accurate ones.
Mines pretty good. The gun will shoot 1moa, unfortunately, I’ve gotten a bit of a flinch out of it. 😛 I am really light and the gun kicks like a mule. I am getting over it though. I’ve gotten down to where I can shoot the bottom of a soda can. Not the greatest, but I’m getting better.
Now, my .223 on the other hand, I can shoot the bottom of a .223 shell every time at 100 yards. Wicked accurate little gun. I wish we had a longer range, because 100 yards is just too easy with that thing. I love it. 🙂
Once I get to where I can shoot 1moa with my 300, and I can shoot one hole with my .223, I think I’ll get a target gun in 300 rum and find a really long rifle range. 🙂

Oh, I gotcha… I hunt with a Ruger #1 in .270 Weatherby Magnum. I generally use 150g, because it is a very flat shooting round with great range. My dad passed this gun down to me and it’s been pillared and bored and completely teflon coated.
300 rum = 300 remington ultra mag.
Super magnum I bought a year or so ago. Big boy hunting rifle kinda thing. 180g ballistic tipped bullet at 3330fps for 4500fpe. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Only downfall, a box of remington ammo costs 60 or so bucks for 20 rounds. I found a cheaper source, but it’s still 40 bucks a box. Ouch.
I still wouldn’t trade it for much of anything. 🙂
