New .25 Vulcan

Well , I got ( SPOCK ) late yesterday . Didn’t come Friday due to bad weather , so they say . Number N1650016 , I thought the new shrouds where vented but haven’t
seen any vent holes yet . Only had time to mount my Vism 3-9x42mm with built-in red laser and had to go out to the local gun shop to get the 1″ scope mounts be-
cause the mounts on my Talon SS were to small for the Vulcan . I’ll remove the shroud tomorrow and see if it has been vented if it isn’t may have to call Tony and
ask him if it should have been . Shot one 9 round mag. through it just to see how it felt and I liked it alot , much better than having to reload a single shot gun . I
love the bolt action and also my trigger , it is nice and crisp and for me needs no adjustments . I still need to zero my scope and will do so as time allows , have
alot of things on the burner at the moment that supercedes playing with my new toy . It is louder than my .25 Talon SS and I’m not sure if it is from the barrel or
ping , trigger slap , etc . will work on it and see what it is . If it’s the shroud I’ll get in touch with Donny . Have a nice ECHO 1 , 32″ rifle case for it from ECHO 1
USA.COM . has 4 outside compartments with 4 inside velcro straps to secure it with . Has a standard outside carrying strap and an over the shoulder carrying strap
as well . If for any reasons I can’t make Spock backyard friendly then I’ll keep my .25 Talon SS for that and buy it a new scope and my brother is going to be shit
out of luck on getting the Talon and Spock will serve as the new Delta Master Blaster .

72 yards 5 shot group with Vulcan
I have flyers almost in every group. Will give barrel some more time to season in. Otherwise I will tame it down a bit.
I had quite a bunch of sub 1/2″ groups if I take away the one flyer

I think it would do better at 70 yards with this rest

If this .22 Vulcan shoots as good as you guys say, I may have to buy a .25 to go along with it. Lets see some 50 and 75 yard groups……..

That’s a whole clip worth of hole. 50 yards. That’s almost out of the box. Now it would probably do that at 75 yards.

How much of that is operator prep and skill?

Did you quickly pop off these shots, or take great care, maybe shoot at high magnification?

I’m trying to assess how much of a demigod one needs to be (or not be) to shoot groups like that.

I tried to do a good group but it would have taken 5 minutes to do the same group with 25 cricket. Scope is SWFA 3-15×42. 15 x is not bad but paper punching you would want 20 x. I’ll try a 70 yard er but 15 x is lame for that

I will shoot some more this week. I’m almost certain if I use my one piece rest it will tighten up. As you can see I pulled one on the right. Last week I did a 5 shot one holer on an old barn. After the first shot all you heard was pellets hitting the inside of barn. This is at 45 yards. I did not want to mention anything without pictures. But this gun shoots.

This is what I used. Minus the gun of course

Yes it is heavy but it sure shoots!!!

Yes it does. It is a great little gun. Might pull out my skeleton stock and put it on. Kind of getting used to wood again

I have the Rapid stock on the Standard .22 it brings the weight down but the Vulcan is lighter.
