New Barrel will not fit
I just bought a new barrel from Pyramyd and was going to slip it in this afternoon and dial it in. I take it out of the tube and drop the old one out and the damn bushings are too big(great job airforce)for it to fit in the Talon SS. I guess I’ll take a file to them and see if I can get it to fit. Anyone had a similar problem?

I shot it with the whole length this afternoon..no internals and it was fairly quiet. Do you know how long the Bluejay would extend past the frame with an 18″ barrel? I’d like to keep the extention to about 5-6 inches if possible. Bluejay speak up…you have a potential sale here.
Don’t cut it down before you experiment with it first.
I had one on my 24″ Talon, uncut, and I could only fit about 4 inches worth of “bits” in there. Wasn’t enough to quiet it down to my satisfaction, even after a couple different configurations of the “bits”. Before I got one of Blue Jay’s shrouds (which is the pure shiznit, BTW), I was planning on asking Bill if he could make one about three inches longer so I could cram a little more in there.
Go slow, and see what the whole extender will do for you first before you saw it down.

OK…after about 30 minutes of sanding…fitting…sanding…fitting…you get the point, I got the new barrel in the gun. It’s a tight fit and I’ll sight her in some time this week. I’ve got a bullseye Bill extender made for a 24″ barrel and will be cutting it off to keep the gun as compact as possible. How many inches should I leave after the end of the barrel to keep the extender as quiet as possible and still keep the gun compact? Thanks again for the advise.
