Q:

New Barrel will not fit

I just bought a new barrel from Pyramyd and was going to slip it in this afternoon and dial it in. I take it out of the tube and drop the old one out and the damn bushings are too big(great job airforce)for it to fit in the Talon SS. I guess I’ll take a file to them and see if I can get it to fit. Anyone had a similar problem?

My barrel is very very tight. But only for a bit at the end. After I get it in a little bit it slides in pretty easily.

As per my instruction from select people, now that it’s in and working, I don’t touch it. 😀

Doing it with sand paper will be better then a file. Just make sure to test fit often.

I may take some sandpaper to them. I just tried it again and I shouldn’t have to take off much. Would this affect my accuracy?

The same thing happened to me with a barrel and shroud I bought from Airhog. Neither would fit into the body because they were too tight. It was for a Condor body. I returned both. Considering it happened to someone’s order from Pyramyd tells me this has something to do with Airforce.

I don’t have a caliper…I can get the first bushing started but I don’t want it to get stuck. It goes in about a 16th of an inch.

Hang on there for a second before you take out that file.

Can you take a measurement of both bushings?
