New breech (sure not the one you eventually get though!)

Before you start getting excited, shall I say that for me it is Nice to see how quickly Ed actions his “new breech” (backandforthbackandforthbackandforth), when the one i got in my matador R3 (which is btw the newest model!) every time I load a pellet needs a full hand on it, a good 3kg of pull, and a couple prayers perhaps, to make up for the poor drilling used when it has been manifactured!
What is the point of advertising a new piece when the actual parts that are shipped to the “loyal customers” are made with knives and forks?
Good engineering goes together with quality control, and most importantly customer care.
Sorry guys, i flagged this in a previous post, flagged it to the manifacturer and i didn’t even get the courtesy of a reply (not to mention the possibility of having a faultless replacement breech sent with apologies!)

I remember somewhere Ed said not to PMs him because he does not check it (at all) i think. Try email instead of PM.

I have noticed my pm to Ed (written in may) was still in my “outbox” folder.
Then i wrote another one (just now) to explain what has happened and what we were discussing, for him to join… And the new pm is again in my outbox.
I think he has banned members from pm-ing him.
Or perhaps just me?
Anyway, sending pms, writing two threads to flag the issue… Don’t say i haven’t tried.
Well i used an email that i was given by someone.
Perhaps was a wrong one.

My breech bores were equally bad, – and I did put images up to prove it. I also stated that I hoped the R3s were not all looking like that…..
ED’s comment was simply:
I think ED knows very well what Yoda is talking about, – and I’m too a bit surprised that he did not offer a replacement……. 🙄
Hopefully he will when the multishot breech is out……. 😉

Did you contact Ed about this? You make it sound like it was cut with a chainsaw and a dremel. If it’s truly that bad, I’d certainly contact Ed and ask if something can be done.

Clearly there is no spring hoot.
I was not refering that particular clip to compare the normal cocking of matadors.
However, there is a video of Ed tuning his rifles before putting them inside the bags, and he does indeed cock them effortlessly.
Again, that’s not my case.
As a matter of fact i sometimes struggle so much to pull that bolt that i regret having bought this gun.
I repeat to be more clear:
My struggle is not fot the spring tension
Not for rust
Not for lack of lubeing
Just because the hole inside my breech has been drilled with a blunt and bent drill.
Perhaps mine was put inside the bag without being tested.
Or perhaps was tested and shipped just to make someone miserable.
Who knows, i certainly did not get any explaination.
The pictures i linked speak for themselves.
This issue has nothing to deal with upgrading the breech block, i would be perfectly happy had i received a steel one in working order, which i did not receive.
I, too, was impressed with the rapid action, but then it occurred to me there was probably no spring in the breech at the time.
Granted, it is smooth, and I like the new bolt arrangement. Seems to lock into place with little effort and that’s a big plus in rapid reloading…especially after Ed’s magazine retro-fit arrives….hint, hint, hint….
Have any of you guys heard about Ed concept testing a .25, six LW “thin-wall” barreled, mini-gun, to counter the Evanix market shaking full auto bullpup?
I understand it uses a trigger-activated Li-on battery insta-start Jap 25cc 2-cycle motor, and a solid state DC/AC 15 watt converter to power the tiny barrel rotation and belt feed electric motors. Said to incorporate a backpak mount for the motor/generator, with shoulder support straps to balance the frame/barrels, all Dura-aluminum/Ceramic frame construction, and is man portable.
Don’t quote me on this, might be a rumour. You know how the internet is! Probably expensive. Still…it would be quite an attention getter!

The rant is about paying for a brand new rifle and getting one that is faulty, as one of its essential parts has been poorly made (i.e. lemon, in shopping dictionary), then flagging it to the manifacturer and being ignored.
Then seeing a “advert” (because this is wat it is) of the same part, being operated in a way i cannot.
And that’s not because mine is steel.
That’s because mine was made on a friday afternoon.
And mine should be even easier as my spring is set for 12fte, i should sneeze on it and cock it, shall i say.
I hope it is more clear now.
