Ed’s enlarged, offset moderator will make a difference, but how much depends on the surroundings of where you are shooting, what you are shooting, who is listening, how close they are listening, what they are listening for, and what they are listening to. So many variables are involved!
Plus, no two ears hear exactly the same frequencies, tones, pitch, and perceived volume.
From what I’ve read…some say it’s quieter, some say it made no difference, some have said it’s a lot quieter.
Will it physically make a difference in muzzle discharge sound? Absolutely! The real question is how much difference will it make to what YOU can/cannot hear…
Asking even an estimate of sound reduction is akin to looking at thousands of pictures of people’s assholes all day. (No…I have no idea what that means either!)

I have seen very little discussion on how well these moderators work. Is the .25 with the improved moderator quieter than the .22 without the moderator? Does it “REALLY” make a difference or is it “noticeable only if you pay attention and turn your head to the left”. I would be great to hear quantitative assessments of how well it works (e.g. it is about 30% quieter with the new shroud).

EDgun offset moderator are caliber specific I have tried them both the .22 is better for the .22 the .25 must be used on the .25.
