Well, at least that proves your not losing your mind! 😉

I’m not big on cheating either, takes all the fun out of it!

Unfortunately I don’t have 25 yards unless I go to the range. Still, it’s going to be a fun contest to watch! 8)

Mamcrackin’s 65 yard groups with his new TT Condor look great, wonder what it will do at 25 yards!!! 😯

This offhand thing is a whole different animal…..Wow…Very frustrating…I could shoot all day and never be satisfied…. But here is the result…The farthest apart as far as I can see is 36.5 mm…I will try to swing by and pick a mic later today…..

36.5 mm

36.0 mm

33.0 mm

So… Synopsys: Why not shoot Off-Hand @ 12.5′ and double your values!
😆 (Sorry, had to go there…)

Synopsys makes a good point: Is it width of the furthest 2 holes (exterior to
exterior) as stated in the thread? Or is it the same on the nearest two holes
as depicted in the uploaded image. inquiring minds…

I’ve already shot my first target and had a flyer. The two values are miles…
um, well, more like >1 MOA apart. PLUK!!

So how would you determine that is was shot off hand?

I think the more restrictions you put on this, there is more room for cheating. With a benchrest competition the only way to cheat is to move the target closer.

But you are the king of this competition so you make the rules, you may want to change the title though, it is misleading… 😉

Its just a game..if some one cheats and they can live with it I can live without it.. 😉

In your sample target you didn’t circle/box the two furthest holes, it looks like the two closest… Am I the only one that sees that? 😕

Ok, so is anyone actually running a contest?
And if so where can you download the target so that it prints
the right size? What are the rules?
Thanks

are you talking about our contest or a contest in general?

Any contest that is actually going on….There is talk about
several different way to score and I am just now sure if
everyone is on the same page….
There might need to be a clarification as to what “offhand”
means….I see it as shooting from a standing position with
no support what so ever….
Call me anal…

you are correct..standing no support..
any target will do
5 shots measure the outside to the outside of the 2 furthest holes..

”ANAL” 😀 😀 😀

Butt (hehehe) you’re right on your interpretation, imho.
‘Offhand’ is defined – for me at least – as “standing position
w/out support.” Thoughts?

Btw, I’m good with any target Mach. You make the call.

I thought the top of the thread SAID benchrest NOT offhand.

that was before i found out not many people had a good place to shoot a far distance. I figured everyone lived out in the sticks like me.. 😆
by having it 25 yards and off hand it allowed almost everyone to shoot..25 yards on a bench isnt much competition imo. thanks!

That competition is amazing, here in Brasil we are starting a online benchrest contest to airguns, the target used have 25 bullseye we give one shot in each bullseye and win who have the bigest score, all competition is based in the confidence and until now it’s everything ok, just one mor thing the distance used here is 25 meters something like 28yards.

The target with the Osama Bin Laden bonus headshot is identical to the
Black Death Challenge target. The similarity is the reason I homage to
that target maker.

Its set up, I believe, for a 25 yard distance. The largest circle is 1.5″ ID; and
they decrease from there down to .5″ on the 10 target. I’ll be shooting on
Osama, tbh, and posting that one for your amusement.

Below is a new target we could consider 😀 :

Happy shooting!!
