Questions on Cricket .22 Standard Platform

Hey guys been a while since I was here last. I miss this place. What can I say Life is on Life’s terms.

I have an interest in this bug gun I keep hearing about Cricket. I just don’t have a full enough picture and need some help.
I am wondering how the is trigger? What’s the sound report? Is it back yard friendly out the box. And if so is it Tony Condor Quiet? I have read a few conflicting stories on sound. Is there a lot of ping coming from the action? How is the accuracy? Is it heavy or cumbersome because of the small size. I have heard it being compared to a tank? Any insight from owners of this little wonder is greatly appreciated. What are the Pro and Cons in your opinion. I have not found any real in depth video reviews of this gun if you know of any please post link.

Thanks

Oaks

They will even be different out of the box depending on where you buy it and how the factory/dealer set it up. They don’t always have it set optimally. Sometimes they are way to hot and loud. I think WWAG or TGAG will still set it the way you want it. If noise is an issue you can ask for it to be set down a bit to 850 fps or even much less. Say 750 fps vs 950 fps makes huge difference on noise and hammer slap. You can go to say a JSB 15.9 pellet from the 18.1 to compensate a bit. Wood stocks are much lighter than the synthetics and the skeleton were very light compared to the bulldogs. As suggested you can always add an LDC and make it whisper quiet with a lower velocity setting. What are you going to use it for?

SECoda thanks. I was talking out of box not a tuned Cricket. Since I own a few PCP already, and all I have worked on I was trying to assess how much more time or money I would have to invest into an already expensive gun. That being said I hear of many happy cricket owners. My needs are for a quiet gun that does not disturb my neighbors. Since I live in the suburbs of Long Island NY the homes are close and I like to keep good relations with those I live around. Thanks

SECoda mainly I will use it to pretend I know how to shoot. Since this gun is so accurate it makes me look good 😀 We live in tight quarters with lots of people little guns let you get around to do fun things. Pigeons and squirrels.

Done! Thanks guys. I went through the archives and found a lot of good stuff plus the info you guys already left. You guys just helped to empty my wallet. Standard Cricket .22 synthetic on the way. I almost went for a Vulcan but I didn’t want to wait it will be here next week. No regrets.

All of this is already in the KalibrGun archives if you do some searching. 😉 You will still get inconsistent answers asking the same stuff again I am sure. 😛 I have a .22 standard Cricket w/ a wood skeleton stock and love it. How it is tuned matters greatly in terms of noise. Many variables can make the same gun light or heavy, quiet or loud so it depends on how you configure and tune it.
