"There are many like it but this one is MINE!"
Well I’ve put a few hundred pellets through my new R3M…I couldn’t contribute to “out past 50” thread as I only have 20yds in my little ass back yard. But I figured with all the repair threads on the R3 I would post what I think is some good stuff. Here are some groups and pics of my R3M…I really am liking it so far…despite my little issue of stripping out the heads of the trigger assembly screws I haven’t had any complaints. What do you all think?

Mine was/is a mark 4. I guess that it is/was an earlier mark 4.
Then again; I don’t have much luck with anything other than Edguns. 😳
The present Combro Mk 4 is a very sturdy little piece of Plastic. I know they had some issues with both Mk2 & Mk3 but those are virtually all gone with the Mk4. And you see what happens when you bamouth a Combro ?? The Chrony gets it ! :butkick:
Around 4-4 ½ years ago, Mamcrakin and I both ordered Combros. They worked OK for a year or so and then we both started having problems with them. We both got new circuit boards sent along with new IR LEDs.
We got them to work for a while and then both units went south again. And no, neither one of us shot the Combro!
I still have my non working unit.
I hope that the maker has upgraded the Combro and that you guys will be fat and happy with yours.
Mine was nice, when it worked but, it registered around 10 fps higher speeds than my Chrony did. I ended up shooting my Chrony at 100 yards because of the Combro. This is my sad story!
At the range, I wanted to get muzzle, 50 yard and 100 yard fps and plug the numbers into Chairgun to get the 25.4 grain JSB pellets BC. Once I had the BC of the 25.4 grain JSB pellets, Chairgun would allow me to print out scope caps and range cards for my setup.
I used the Chrony to get muzzle and 50 yard fps. I shot some groups at 100 yards, and then moved the Chrony out to 100 yards and centered it so it would pick up the pellets as they passed thru where the Matador was aimed for the last 100 yard group.
I have done that before and since then without any problems.
What caused my Chrony’s downfall was; I thought that I would attach my Combro to the muzzle and get muzzle and 100 yard fps at the same time. I neglected to account for the added weight of the Combro causing some barrel droop! My results are as follows.
I had the windage figured out but, I shot a little too high to dead center the chrony at 100 yards!
And NO, the Chrony didn’t recover! It was my 25 cal R2.5 longs first kill!
You’ll like it. A good little device with fair price.

Well I just ordered a combro from our dear brothers to the north, for like $80 IMHO there isn’t much that can go wrong 😀 , I’ll see how it turns out…..
What the hell do you guys have against my tasty Mead and smelly Cheese ? Or was it the other way round ..
However Larry – see what you made me do now ; I wasted my 2000th post on this … 😥 😥 😥
I purchased one from an Ebay seller out of Canada, two months ago. Works as advertised, read the manual, their are many setting to chose from. Some pros, it needs very little ambient light, sets up in seconds, seem accurate in comparison to traditional cronos and is very compact. Some things I don’t like, seems delicate,
must be careful when placing it on the barrel. I guess you can shoot a traditional crono as well. Ville has much more experience with this model, his guy has goodies for the one he owns. Sir Ville can give you all the info, you may need a translator however, he sometimes over does the Finnish mead and aged cheese.
Regards
LarryW 🙄 😀 🙄
For just checking velocity of different pellets on the run or the HST settings. Or taking measurements in lesser light. Or any Chronoing duties for that matter. Can be set up in seconds, anywhere. Need more ?? 😉

I´ve used mine about a year now and it sure is worth its price – that can´t be said about most other Chronographs. Cut a 2″ wide piece of Bicycle inner tube and you´re set. You know that you can sync the Combro up/down to match your other Chrono ? Good , that may – or may not – be an important factor for some guys. And you´re right – 75 J is the upper limit for that Combro. It´s designed for use in UK mainly for checking you´re under the FAC limit of 16J and Big Bore Airguns aren´t nearly as popular on this side of the Pond as they´re in US so guys who have over 65J AG´s are a rare breed. There are some BB afficionaos in Finland though due the “no limit for airgun power” law but Finland is one of the very few European countries having that freedom. For the time being ; There are opponents to it thus it may get changed.
So what situations for you guys does the combro serve better than a full size Chrony? Just curious…..
Cheers
I was embarrassed to take a turn at the air gun expense report 😀 …looks like I’m averaging 2k a week since late November, My day and I have a standing joke about money spent on hobbies that loosely goes like ” It’s not to expensive once you get over the start up expenses “
I bet Zoco’s and Naser’s airgun expenditures makes ours look like chicken scratch. 😳
Almost can get two trackingpoint 750
Holy Smokes 😯
I don’t feel so bad now with my piddly little $4.7K spent on the airgun addiction cause it looks like I can’t even compare to most of you. I’ve see $5 K, $6K, $8K and SECoda done run his bill up to $19.2K.
Man, I gotta save a little bit of my measly NCDOT salary to pay for vet bills, and alcohol 😉
I don’t get it????
Hoot:
Of course you don´t, Uncle. Of course you don´t … 🙄

My Dearest brother Tedd,,,
I can say, that your Edgun is deadly accurate at that 100 yards, your fired pellet hit the center of the chorny, BTW; very nice shot… and it deserves that chrony lost …
