All my accessories are arriving and still no toy to put them on. One special toy is the Delta Titanium 4.5-30x-50. Special thanks to Sir Ville and George in Sweden for making that happen. $138 customs broker fees by the way….total price now $1050.00….but oh well. Any hoot….I’m going nuts over here!! Come on Tony, where’s my email? Wingman has flooded our channel with oobs of quality pics. We have new bobcats, new CF parts for roaches, talks of Belugas, fixes, and what not. And here I am with no gun and a big ol box of accessories. (That did not sound quite right).
I decided to get away to help the time go by. Look for me at the WSOP fellas. I’m leaving tomorrow for a week. Which one of my brothers plays poker? Tell me about yourselves. Uncle hoot….I know you gotta play some poker…and knife maker, you too. Brother Hemm, I bet you play flush (three card poker). Talk to me my brothers.

I jest. 😆 😆 I was looking for a picture of one the size of a small bike wheel I saw a few years ago but can’t find it. The FT guys use the real fine focus tuning in rangefinding but I really don’t see much hunting usefulness beyond about 4″ or so. 😛
Although it looks very useful….but on a bench….it’s only set up for 25-100 yards. It is only designed to turn 180 degrees max. Not practical for hunting in most situations. But it’s probably damn accurate!

How is that practical for anything but bench rest? That’s why I’m thinking 2.5-3.5″. But I’ve never done it before. I just want hear some feedback from others. I think the 4″ looks too big. There’s some of you guys that have Hawkes with 2″ wheels and others have 4″ wheels. For hunting applications….what do you think?

Ville I even like your idea of a lever attachment on the side focus….that may be all I really want. It’s just very tough to focus at 20-30x with a 1″ wheel. It’s VERY small movements from 25-500 meters…and it’s tough to get it set quickly. The lever may be just enough, but obviously a 6″ wheel would give you very fine movements and predictability.
Check out this. I think this may be the way to go. But again, I don’t want 125mm nor even a 4″ wheel. They will custom make whatever you want. I’m thinking 2.5-3.5 inch wheel. I would love som feedback though.

Thanks Brant! I need to e-mail this guy and ask if he could make a smaller “Hatchet” wheel. May not be doable in 2″ – 3″ though … Damn you Americans; I had already decided to go the “Rowan route” with that little lever and now this crap comes along. What to do now ?? Too many choices,so little time … 😡
