Redneck Crazy

Hey guys

All my accessories are arriving and still no toy to put them on. One special toy is the Delta Titanium 4.5-30x-50. Special thanks to Sir Ville and George in Sweden for making that happen. $138 customs broker fees by the way….total price now $1050.00….but oh well. Any hoot….I’m going nuts over here!! Come on Tony, where’s my email? Wingman has flooded our channel with oobs of quality pics. We have new bobcats, new CF parts for roaches, talks of Belugas, fixes, and what not. And here I am with no gun and a big ol box of accessories. (That did not sound quite right).

I decided to get away to help the time go by. Look for me at the WSOP fellas. I’m leaving tomorrow for a week. Which one of my brothers plays poker? Tell me about yourselves. Uncle hoot….I know you gotta play some poker…and knife maker, you too. Brother Hemm, I bet you play flush (three card poker). Talk to me my brothers.

This really bugs me now – next time i’ll send stuff over. It’s just to include a note in the package saying something about “now it should work again” or so…

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2. This POS iPhone sucks though …

Iยดd be happy was our sales tax at 15%.

Thanks john….now if I can find my four leafed clover, horseshoe, and rabbits foot I’ll be ready.

Hi Jobobo, I wasn’t told there would be any. But, the last time I ordered something overseas I got the package along with a bill….and sure enough that’s what happened again this time with the scope. What happens is the package when it enters the states goes to a clearing house. I imagine it is there that customs inspects the product coming into the US and applies a duty or brokerage fee to whatever is being imported. That fee is paid by the shipping company (in this case UPS) and then UPS showed up at my door with my box….and a bill. I pay the bill, I get my box. Sucks….but it was kinda to late already…plus I really wanted that scope. So I coughed up the $138 bucks. That comes out to about a 15% tax.

That really sucks! You should have told George NOT to put any receipt/invoice in the package. That couldยดve been sent separately or thru e-mail. Damn, i never thought that …

I knew that was possible. I have been concerned with an additional tax on our airguns but maybe it is already being paid. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ 15% isn’t as bad as many politicians would like. ๐Ÿ™„

Me too. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ Pistol Poker with some of the Fed ATF guys courtesy of Uncle Sam’s guns and ammo at my local range (the only time I ever played). Some of those ATF guys are pretty good. A few are amazing shots with a pistol. These guys all have special request SIGs so my P229 fit right in even though we shared their guns for the competition.

John everything you said is true. Your biggest enemy in tournament poker is yourself. Yes I have won many….it’s just the big ones that have eluded me (tournaments with over 300 people). I play about 100 local tournaments (between 20-150 players). And the rest are the big ones. I’m leaving for Bossier City tomorrow to play in 3 big tournaments. The best I have done in the big ones is place 11th…..TWICE. Missed final table by one, each time! Heartbreaker. But, I’m feeling hot right now….this may be the time.

Good luck to you on your next tournament Sir.May the poke gods be with you!!

John

Can you explain the import process and the broker fees?

Dr Steele,

If my calculation is correct, that is about 2 tournaments a week? Did you have to travel or played in your home town?
I imagine when you play tournaments, you got to have the time and patience. I am sure you have made it to the final table right? Like I said , never played tournaments before and don’t know the costs for buy in. I have heard major events, it can cost up to 10k, unless you have a sponsor.

Poker in my opinion is the easiest game to learn, but takes a lifetime to master.

Dear Brother Dr. Steel;

Congrats on arriving your all accessories, i really happy too when i know somebody got his rifle or anything, i hope that every one get his dream rifle and whatever,
that poker playing is nice, what brother W NZ did with his Edgun is quite looks great and it means Edgun accuracy,
i haven’t tried Edgun poker yet, i have to try this.

Brother W NZ; my Edgun has the same accuracy, with JSB 18gr, did you see my accuracy test? do you prefer that i got the good group? can you post some groups? so that we can compare them together and we will change the info with others, i think we can benefit from each others.

That’s what I’m talking about! Wingman….I was waiting for the next shot to get the other side of the heart….now that would have blown me away. ๐Ÿ˜€

John….you have to get into tournament poker….it’s a rush and great competitiveness. I play in about 120+ tournaments a year. I have never one a big one yet….but I’m due.

Did some one said Poker? “I am all in”. I played often before but never in tournaments or played professionally.
Considered myself amature so most of my games are home game with friends. Nothing is more fun than fine food, drinks and a poker game on weekend nights.

John

ha ha ha ๐Ÿ˜† Im better at “go fish” I have never played poker in my life nor would I know how..

Hi Phil,

I think you better stick with air guns, because you would get killed in poker.

That was royal flush my friend.
