Ruger 10/22
Just took my 10/22 out for a spin…. What a piece of crap…..
Trigger is 50lbs pull (I thought it was on safety)… And it shoots 6″ groups at
65yds. Or I shoot 6″ groups at 65yds with it…. It will defininitely not be pulled
out before the EDgun .25 for anything beyond 20yds….

Yeah, bad trigger’s suck REALLY bad. I will file down and adjust any trigger I have. (with the exception of the old rifles)
My brother has a remington 597. I don’t know if any of you have used one, but holy crap what a bad trigger. I had to stand on it to shoot it. 😆 The barrel may be accurate, who knows. You’re so busy pulling the trigger that you can’t aim accurately.
His isn’t bad any more. I stole it one night and worked on the trigger for about an hour. It is not good by any means, but not nearly as bad. Filed down the sear and such and replaced a main spring with a new, much lighter one. I had the displeasure of shooting a new one the other day, and I became very proud of my work. It really has probably the worst trigger I have ever used.
Never shot a 10/22, but as many freaking parts as you can get for them I’m sure you can buy an aftermarket trigger that wouldn’t be bad at all.
