Q:

scope for the shorty

Well I dealt with the hawke scopes long enough….. I want something light weight and compact I would also like it to work off a mildot or such reticle.

so can we get a list going here……. FFP would be nice too.

Dead dirty birds.

” dirty birds ”

open season on dirty birds, good shooting 😯

so i finnally got to put this thing to work….

sorry no picks…

i had just finished up running my tune on the Shorty shooting 18.1s at 850 ish …. so i had to try it out and see how useful it would be. I went out the back door and along my fence line these dirty birds were shitting on my fence. So i went for the close one i estimated at 40 yards… he dropped like a rock.

Sounded like he got cracked with a paddle. a few flew away. but there were a bunch further down. no range finder at the time but i figured he was around 50 maybe 55 yards.. lined him up on the scope and held over a little bit and the shorty Cracked another…..

he dropped like a rock too….

I went out to my truck and got my rang finder and measured the last shot… 78 yards.

This dam scope is pretty sweet i must say.

I need to get strelok all programed so i can work on my hold overs… but I’m really digging this Vortex and the shorty of course :2:

Yeah right SWFA too

Hey WTF, I think vortex owes me a commission

The Viper has landed right ontop da baby

The vendor sends me the scope with the objective cap and not the eye cap. Then emails me that he will send forward another set of Butler Creeks. I should have never sent this scope back.

Sexy girl friend!

Looks great!

The Vortex is on the Shorty :8: :8:

I haven’t really tried it out yet. but i did mount it on and check it out…

im digging the light up reticle no bleeding like the hawke.

this dam this is sweet can’t wait to try it out. I shouldered my shorty several times I think it fits the shorty quite nice.

hopefully ill be able to trie it out some this weekend . i did click the turrets. and they are nice and crisp and positive.

Ill write up some more on this thing after i get some use….

14 eye
13 obj

The 13 is really tight but the 15 was way too loose for me.

Hey Keyser….. what are the part numbers for the butler creek Flip caps for the vortex scope…

I got coin left over 4 pellets.
Nothing cheap about this scope, other than the price.
I can see easy where pellets hitting at 100 yards, on spinner targets.
Fun using the mil-dots too, lol.

Jamie don’t listen to the Keyser or you will be broke like me. Call it Airgun broke

quote keyser soze:

Guys you’re killing me. Don’t go cheap Chinese glass on such a cool gun. I have already put mine in service killing starlings at 100 yards. This little bugger can shoot. Get good glass.

balance is everything on such a little sweet gun. choose wisely. Get the Vortex PST 2.5X10X32 FFP MOA/MOA. Don’t listen to that BS that it won’t parallax below 35 yards. Turn the magnification down to 5X and it will parallax at 10 yards.

Look how the little guy sits on the table perfectly balanced on the grip. This is what you want. Plus the scope tracks perfectly and has a ton of features.

Ok OK

I Went for it…. The Vortex is inbound.
