Shoebox compressor FAILURE
need help guys my compressor will not pump over 2400psi im not hearing air or seeing bubbles either i keep grease on all the parts and ive only filled 1 4500psi tank a 2260psi and a 3000 psi i figured for almost 400 dollars i should get more use than this

If it started working again after removing and cleaning the delrin inserts and orings then one of the orings is loose on the shaft. You would normally only finger tighten the allen nut on the end but if you tightened it up all the way and it worked, then the big oring is your problem.

My web guy is dressing it up and I have to populate it with parts etc. Parts cost is always an issue because they have to be priced high enough that you can’t buy them all individually and build a unit. We will list the orings and delrin inserts separately and as a rebuild kit. We will try and price those reasonably but the other parts will take the price load. If you don’t bend something up the rebuild price should be very reasonable.
The other things that could wear out eventually are the bushings but they are all available through McMaster Carr.”

ok guys its up and running i pulled the lower cylinder off cleaned the parts off and tightened the allen screw at the end of it put it back together and all is good now i need a complete breakdown of this machine
Ideally get a CF tank and fill it with the shoebox.
As Walter said 100 psi loads it to the max rating and yes it will fill faster.

100psi first stage loads the Shoebox motor to 100% rating
Not bad.. if you get a shop compressor with a larger psi output hooked up to the shoebox compressor would it fill faster tom?

Ratio of volumes should hold true.
Therefore a 200cc reservoir should take 10 minutes to fill 2,000 to 3,000
Here it says 18 minutes from dead empty. Does that sound right?

Would love to know how long it takes.. if it’s not too long I might just have to invest in one of these.
The Marauder fill time on the website was a typo. I removed it. If someone can give me a real fill time I will post it up.

Sounds good.. looks like I’ll be getting a 100 psi shop compressor and the shoebox in the near future..
