You guys do get some nice racks over there. It’s all that corn And bait pile steroids they eat in those big fenced in no stress areas I’m sure. 🙂
I mean how many 10point 2 yr olds you see normally? Plus you get to hunt in rut when they are all bulked up.
Do you guys even get spikes or is their first growth a nice 3×3 rack? 🙂
A 5×5 Mulie here is minimum 4yrs old if he’s been close to homes eating good. 10 pointers out here are old and grey faced and fucking smart.
Biggest benefit here is archery season starts early when they are still in velvet
and eating lots of soft mass. The meat is exceptional.
One day I’ll get back there for a shoot. It be nice to sit in a tree stand for a couple hrs watching Tv waiting for one to come over and say Hi. Sure would beat hiking the hills for a couple days. 🙂
Sure – our white tails are latte sippers but they have some real nice trophy racks in Missouri. They even come in from good deer states like Wisconsin to shoot our trophy white tails. 😛

rkr….Even in the short H’bird, is the barrel only 15″ in it’s current production size? It seemed to grow quite a bit over the prototype.
Hoot:
15.35″ according to BAR website. That’s enough to get light .22 pellets flying well over 900 fps and heavies in 800+ fps. 24.4″ total length which is quite handy. In .177 12 fpe configuration it should be quiet and still good enough for blowing them chicken heads at 50 yards.
Even though your camo is good I’d be hesitant in using it queer dedicated environment like bars, have you considered adding some protection to it – especially to the lower parts? Dwarf hunting is also rather risky business if you go after them little ones that look blue due to all tattooing on their skin.
That only applies to those pussy ass white- tails. Those thing fall over dead from a spit ball.
In Calif Mule deer are freaking little tanks. Double lung and heart shots and they still zig-zag out minimum 100yds before even thinking about stopping to figure out what just hit em. Usually find them 250-300 yds out.
Toughest one I hit was a quartering away. Through lungs into opposite shoulder and blew shoulder socket apart from 38yds.Impact on its shoulder sounded like a big tree branch breaking off.
That tough SOB pivoted completely around and bolted out on 3 legs past us. I could see majority of arrow coming out through its shoulder. Found the arrow about 100 yds out broken around the vanes. He walked it off for little over 1/4 mile though rocky/ hilly terrain before he finally dropped.
Only thing that drops them Mulies on the spot is a severed spine at base of neck. I stalk hunt only so I rarely get that tree stand shot but my buddy has.
I’m in Montana now where the white-tail are plenty. Hunting them should be as easy as going to grocery store. 🙂
I bow for the infinite wisdom the Uncle once again shows a climpse of. The Queer hunting itself is ancient art and nearly forgotten in many parts of the known World. It’s not easy by any means and between thrown Purses, Homo-Camo and Fairy Dust it’s since long regarded as one of the more dangerous forms of Hunting. If the Nutshot isn’t placed correctly and exactly between those shaved Balls one runs in a risk of waking up on an empty Alley with serious ache in a butt and a wrinkled one Dollar bill in the hand while soothing tunes of Village People “in the Navy” is being played on the background.

Venerable Uncle Hoot,

Hoot:
With short guns the barrel length is usually the limiting factor. With 15″ barrel you’ll be looking at about 30 fpe or a bit more in .22 while still retaining air efficiency.
“We can’t shoot them here, same with queers”
…so you are safe, Hoot!
I agree but airguns and arrows through the lungs are similar and both low velocity bleeders. it is what it is. They actually studied this in my state on deer and the bleed rates are ultimately very close with the current minimums set for both weapons which is exactly how they set the minimum velocity, caliber, etc when they introduced airguns in 2009. Of course deer here only go about 250 lbs tops. We classify deer as big game. 🙂 Remember these big bore airguns are shooting .40-.60 caliber and above 500 fpe. No Crickets or Matadors in the game.
Some tips from the Missouri guidelines
Like a bow hunter, hunters with air rifles have to aim for the deer’s lungs to kill the deer quickly.
If both lungs are hit, the deer will drop in just seconds. Like all forms of deer hunting, hunters should work to do more than just injure the deer. Deer that are hit should be tracked, if possible, the kill completed cleanly.
Because of the relatively slow velocity of the bullet, hunters using air rifles need to allow for much more drop of the bullet as distances increase .
Practice with the gun is mandatory if you plan to be able to hit your target at distances near or above 50 yards. Compensation for the effect of gravity and air drag are necessary for accuracy. The good news is that these rifles are quiet enough when shot that the opportunity for a second or even third shot is possible.
Air rifles are slowly finding a niche in the urban and suburban areas where hunts are allowed to reduce deer populations.
These guns are much more quiet than their high-powered counterparts. Since the bullet drops faster and has less power behind it, less unplanned property damage and personal injury results from bullets that miss the target.
I agree! Bowhunting ie is on the rise. And sounds really fun too. I’m not arquing about Hunting as a Sport. At all. My point is that killing should be done effectively and without causing any unnecessary suffering.
Don’t think i’m one of those Tree Hugger Vegetarians since i’m quite far from it.
I just think an AG isn’t adequate for Big Game Hunting and neither is any Weapon that causes a drawn out death to any Animal. Some people on the other hand is another thing alltogether …

Queers are easy….you got to use camo to get near enough for a pcp nut-shot, which will take them down long enough to tag them for later research! The Liberals outlawed “Homo-Kamo” sales in the U.S., so I had Sir Ville pick up a nice Summer outfit for me in Sweden, at the brothel he frequents. It gets the job done. Problem is you’ve got to get them on the first few shots, or those nimble little pricks will throw their purse at you, and disappear into a bathhouse!
Liberals are more difficult to confuse. It takes money and entitlements to get a clean shot.
HOMO-KAMO – City/Casual Hunting “T”…. (If prohibited in your area, contact Sir Ville for details…)

32 good reasons you don’t want to be in an U.S. Senior Citizen’s house, uninvited, after dark! This ain’t Europe, Bucky!!!

Cool – the same length as the Compact Crickets. We like as much power as we can muster at times. I wonder what they can max out at with say .177s or .22s with the shorty’s. I think the .22 30 fpe quotes are with the longer barrels but might be mistaken.

Steroids and Lattes. 😆 I feed this 11 pointer in my backyard that has to be 6 years old at this point. He is definitely corn fed. :ugeekn: If I shoot him my wife will shoot me. She made that very clear. She just doesn’t buy my story about culling the herd. I did plan on looking for his sheds.
