Q:

Short Matadors R3

For those who wants EDgun Lelay but cannot get it for a long time. Pay attention to Matador R3 short version, caliber .22. That is only 680 mm long (Lelya 540 mm long), barrel 420 mm (lelya 300 mm), has the same characteristics as normal size or long Matadors (the optimal JSB heavy speed is 890 f/sec), more shots, accurate as any of Matadors, new trigger, very soft and smooth. Besides I will have someday KITs for turning single shot Matadors into multyshot ones but don’t have any plans to make such a KIT for Lelya. Tony has some available to sell in US now.

I think he means Matador shorts. 😉

But it’s a bit tough to say for sure. 😀

Did everyone miss this statement….Tony has “some” multl-shot kits available NOW???

Or did I read that wrong?

H 😯 😯 t

Yeah,

I emailed him this morning after I had my “moment”. I told him to put me on the list for a .25 cal kit. He replied with an “ok”.

From the info on the net, Ed has been working on these kits for quite awhile. I’m hoping he has them ready by this summer.

Gabe G.

Tony’s taking names for the multi shot?

Priorities should be?

1) job or business
2) housing (including family n friends)
3) food
4) gas
5) guns
6) ammo
7) everything else

I wish I could just drop another $2000 on another matador but real life hits and says you want another gun OR a place to live.

UGIMJ,

Me too!!!! I almost had a lapse of judgement. I was considering spending my summer rent money for a short R3 🙄

So, I did the next best thing and asked Tony to put me on the list for a .25 cal R3 multishot kit.

Gabe

So get your priorities straight and choose a new, shiny AG … 😀

Hmmmmmmm, so the shorts are better than the longs and they just happen to be available right now. I better jump on it! 😕 🙄 😉

Oh wait, I already own one. 😀

Would making the long barrel thicker solve this and if so, how thick would it have to be?

I’m also curious at what range do these differences begin to become measurable beyond other variables like pellet head size, pellet weight etc….?

Please define stability and explain how you get more with shorter barrel?

Shorter barrel has less rezonation then the long one. That is the key. That is why it is much easier to have good accuracy using standard or short then long one.

So, you can compare. In fact, the shorter barrel — the more stability you have, that is why I prefer standard one to long one 🙂
