Q:

Should I buy a criket?

I ran into some extra cash 😈 and I’m wondering if its worth it being that I have a matador…
I already contacted dima and she told me she only has the walnut in stock but I want this one if it even exists

yep dont pull the trigger…lol…just kidding….but no it doesnt have a safety…nor does the edgun

Does the cricket have a safety?

Nope but if the guns were sitting there an nobody bought them, than I would assume that they were from a older order that never sold.

You are buying it used?

Well I definetly know that mine is an older version cause the gauge is the color gauge with no number readout.

Has there been any news on what serial number the Crickets switched to the aluminum valve?

Well when I get mine in ill chime in with the serial number and let you guys known if it’s plastic or aluminum.

Not sure yet on where to order. I am not exactly sure what serial number switched to the new valves. Mine is in the 400s which are definitely the plastic ones.

When I called TGAG today the phone call still went to Steve. He was filling me in on the 30 cal Cricket. 🙂

[quote=”SECoda”]Mine is the .22 as well and my primary sparrow slayer. It’s a fabulous air gun. If there is any issue at all with this gun it may be that it has a plastic valve that may need replacing at some point. I am ordering one early to have at the ready. Yours will be aluminum.[/quote

SECoda,

Where are you ordering your aluminum valve from? I’m still wondering if mine is plastic. I don’t want to take it apart because it shoots perfectly!

When I was on the phone with Steve he told me that if I have a problem that can’t be fixed with a replacement part…he’ll replace the rifle…so if anything I’ll take a look in the rifle and make sure it has the aluminum part. He also told me to check the gun as soon as I get it to make sure everything is ok.

Well I ordered mine in .22 cause I really like the accuracy of it…my cousin has the .25 and the damage it does to the just the plinking targets is crazy…and I mostly plink and shoot small game…the .22 does what I need

Ed did claim the compact prize with the .25 standard though. It has a nice shot count for its size and caliber. I still would like to get another stock or rework the grip. If he could produce a 30″ 30 cal that got near 30 shots and >= 80 fpe it would be near perfect IMO. 😀

I can look at that picture for a long time Brant, she’s a beauty. I wish the .25 cal looked exactly like the STD.

I know I mentioned this before but the skeleton stocks are more expensive than the bullpup stocks in KalibrGun’s catalog. Its much more practical on a bench rest than a bullpup because you can slide the rear rest to get the right elevation since it is angled. The stock is incredibly light. I wish my Matador stock felt like the Cricket’s.

BTW – Steve is part of the 30 cal Cricket project.

And we all know that almost everything is legal over there In cali

Steve is 100%!

I got my 177 Cricket from him.

The bulldog stock is awesome but it is heavy.

You will love this rifle. I love mine!

In fact I think I may marry it… I do live in California after all.
