Q:

TAG Sellers…..

To tell you the truth with all the problems that have been occuring with people selling stuff and then taking off and not responding Tony and I have thought about how to get some control over this stuff.

People come on here and sell their wares and services and good ole Tony pays the bills and they are getting a free ride and often are competing directly against Tony and getting a free ride on his dime and they are only really here to make a few quick bucks.

Something is going to have to change around here.

This is becoming a more serious issue everyday.
Its becoming a little more personal to me every time the billing cycle comes up and I have to pay for others free advertising.

We are all so proud of our TAG and it will be here for a long time, but some changes will be made.

Thanks Tony

try going into walmart wearing a target or k mart shirt and start handin out pamphlets and selling stuff cash see what happens

i dont blame tony for wanting to figure something out

Seems to me that at the beginning, there wasn’t that much selling by modders going on. As time has passed, more and more peeps have come on here selling stuff( Brad being the largest’ commercial seller’ I have seen).

Tony has been extaordinarily good by allowing this, bearing in mind that he pays for the site, and also has a business tuning/modding AF rifles. If he chose to shut down any ‘bigtime’ selling of items on here, no one could blame him. I’m guessing the ‘For Sale section was meant to be for guys selling their own 2nd stuff, not guys producing and selling AF parts.

Whilst all this is great for us, you gotta see that Tony may be getting a little tired of it….

I don’t think it was really one thing that happened. What it was though, is people seem to keep coming on here, selling a valve or some other part, and once they’ve shipped it out that’s the last anyone hears from them. (well, hopefully they ship it out).

So when the item gets to the new owner, and doesn’t work, they have no way to get ahold of the seller and figure out what they need to do to fix it. When this happens, they have to go to one of the knowledgeable folks here like tony and tony has to help them sort it out.

Nice guy that tony is, he does try to help, but he shouldn’t have to. He makes his own stuff, and when someone buys his stuff and needs help then he can help, but when it’s some random guy’s stuff that just isn’t willing to help anyone, it sucks.

So what is being proposed is a way to keep the scammers and the people that aren’t going to stay and help out, and only let the good guys sell things here.

This being the latest example of the problem:

Tony,

I really appreciate the info that I get here. If you need to start charging a fee, or just need some contributions I’d be more than happy to help out.

Stick
