Talon SS accuracy problems
I recently puchased a Talon SS .177. Have put approx 1000 rnds through it. Shooting at 25 yrds. Using crossman premiun pointed and crossman premier hollow point pellets. Sometimes it will put 4 or 5 shots almost in the same hole and the next shot will be 1 inch to either side high or low. The shots will stay there for 5 to 10 shots and then move somewhere else for awhile. I have tried 3 different scopes that I know are good to see if that made any difference. It did not. I have tried filling the hpa tank from 2000 to 3000 and all in between. Have also set the power from 2 to 10. Makes no difference. Removed the barrel and found the bushings to be slightly loose so I tightened them. Didnt change anything. Probably will have to send it back to the factory. I am a .22 rimfire benchrest shooter. With .22 ammo becoming harder to find i thought I would try an airgun. I was shooting the Talon from a benchrest so it should have produced some nice groups. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!!

In a 21 inch they should be clipping along at 880-900 in .22!
Man..and those large Kodiaks can be moving fast enough in our Talons? I have a 21″ barrel Stainless.
Check the tightness of the tophat grub screws, they always seem to loosen up and cause issues
dragonfly the .22 kodiak weigh in at 21.?? grains and they love are barrels, the cp’s Slimpickins is talking about are the pointed and hollow points that you get a walley world and don’t come close in comparison to the boxed diablo style cp’s most people shoot, I personally don’t like them ether, they would always give me at lease one flier per group

CP’s seem too light for our guns, unless you have her dialed way down

yeah thats what I did once. So now I fill it to about 2600 to 2700 and it works great. Thats probably what it is I bet.

Ha Ha.. I have to agree.. It is only a Pellet rifle. 😳 I think he is either pulling his shots but if he can feel the difference in the gun because he is doing the same thing then the gun is changing some where or some way. Sounds like air pressure change making the pellet move high or low.
I think it is that more so than pulling shots. Usually one knows when he is pulling it. My tank got a little sticky after it sat charged in my armory for about almost a year. After I freed willy she blew for free 8)
I would have to say, never had any probs with either of my Talons, have heard frame flex is a problem, but jeez it’s only a pellet gun. just put it on what you want to shoot and pull the trig.
If your gripping so tight against your shoulder to flex the gun, well, thats not right. 😯 😯 😯 😯

This is the one I want to get? Where do you guys buy em from?
Maybe I can sight these in and those squirrels will die on impact a little easier. And maybe thats why my Talon is a tad loud. Light pellet? But it was clocking at 860 to 900’s.
14.7 grain or something like that.
