Q:

TalonTunes Spy Pics…Angled Tank Adapter

I have been trying to produce these for years, since I first saw them on the TOG….Baz really lit the fire again….

This is the first prototype. Final product will be black anodized better gauge that will fit flush to the adapter with engraved TT logo….

When your AF rifle is shouldered with this adapter, you line of sight is just slightly above the scope rail.

Production will be finished at the end of the month…
Hope you like it.
Thanks, Tony

I do not see a picture of the nipple on their site…. They got some stuff there that I don’t see on their site. If you call over there, talk to a guy named Ray, he set me up.

As for it being anodized, once the bad ass looking magnetic nipple cover is on there you can’t see it anyways

I want one as long as it is DIY and it does not break my wallet.

I timed my ETaC by trying to drill the hole in the collar, but I must have been a fraction of a thousand off horizontally and although my circumferential placement was correct it threw off my timing and caused me to still use a .008 shim.

The owner liked my TSS and his guy set me up with a cool black anodized Foster nipple and a black magnetized nipple cover along with a small high quality gauge to replace the crappy one that came with my eTac. .

Hey Mr 266 .. You da man 🙂

JJ.. 😉

Does it extend the LOP by 2″

I had the short canted Etacs and could not remove them, and I did not care for the shims to line them up.

To me getting the bottle off was the biggest problem. Disassembling the grip, WOK guard, trigger plate to get two those two set screws holding in the collar just did not work for me.

So I drilled and tapped the side of the frame, took the bottom set screws out, that way I could remove the tank by simply loosening the two side screws, and at the same time it allowed me to rotate the collar for timing the ETAC.

If you have a WOK guard, you can use a over length rear screw, shortened to the correct length, it can then be used as a oversized set screw, passing thru the bushing to put pressure on the collar to hold it in place once you have rotated it to the correct positon.

I have 4 tanks that I setup for my .25, 2 are etac, 2 are etacreg. I machined them down so they are a few thousands over rotated and then use .002 to .006″ stainless steel shims between the valve and the etac’s. I made a holder that let me pinch the shim and turn the OD down in the lathe to match the valve OD. ID is the right size. Then I got my .22 up and running and just rotated the collar to line up and they work on both guns. There is no easy way. If rotate the collar and have more than one tank the other tank will off if it has a etac or etacreg.

That is an issue and I am not a big fan of shimming…..your going to have to adjust your collar…..
I can do that without any problems.
Anyone have any ideas.
Thanks, Tony

How are you planning on timing these ?

Same way I timed my frames so I dont have to move the Wokbutt. Rotate and repin the tank collar.

How are you planning on timing these ?

Damn… Me Want!!!

Ive won 2 contests here now, how about a 3rd? 😛 😆 😎

Great work Tony! Looks like you’ve been pretty busy lately!

These are the best one’s I’ve used from Custom Products. Self contained check valve. Can have a bottom less hole.

You beat me to it Tony. I will be making one also here shortly. There will be one with a reg also but it won’t be cheap.

Thanks King…..
