Tank valve problem
I let a new tuner work on my gun and also the tank valve.
I have had the gun for months and shot it just enough to sight in a night vision scope, then the gun sits in the corner.
Yesterday I decided to see how well it was tuned on the Chrony.
Well, before I could shoot 2 ten shot strings, the tank valve starts blowing all the air out after a shot.
Besides the gun having no more power etc than a stock gun, the roughness of the parts, etc, etc. That is besides the point, anyone konw what is wrong with the bottle valve? What would the “fix” be?
Walt in Ha. is making a 25cal barrel, so not would be a good time to get it repaired correctly.
What pisses me off is I spent several 100 dollars and it turns out to be a piece of shit.
To ALL-
ONLY ALLOW TUNERS WITH A LONG HISTORY OF QUALITY WORK TO TUNE YOUR GUN.
Now I am stuck, laid off and do not have the $$$ to repair the gun as it should have been tuned in the 1st place.
I wish a million times over I would have sent it to Talon Tunes or Airhog to have the work done…, but me being me, trying to help someone out, trying to help him build a name working on these guns, just starting out, giving him a chance to build a reputation…, you know…, now I am “stuck”. The gun can not shoot, I have no extra $$$ to get it repaired and no night vision gun as I needed for varmints.
All because I always try to help out the “small guy”, the underdog, someone starting out, etc.
I always seem to get screwed when I try to help out people. I always get it in the end, one way or the other.
Rant over, I did not mean to rant, it just came out, LOL!
Anyhow, can anyone help with the valve problem?

I totally 2nd this… if this isn’t Don’s work, tell us, it’s not fair to him if it isn’t, even though I’ve had issues with him in the past. On another note, I can’t believe Don would send such a email regardless. Tell us who the hell it is so other people are privy to this and don’t get the same shaft.

It NEEDS to be stated clearly who did this work so nobody else gets ripped off. Don has been eluded to but that is now worse than just coming forth with the information, even more so if it is not him.
If he makes it right then he gets his word and trust back (it has happened before), if not you just did the whole community a favor by getting the information out into the light of day… 😉

I don’t think that was Don that sent the email, that sounds more like our little troll trying to make someone just as unhappy with life as he is.
I don’t think Don would go through the trouble of setting up an anonymous account, and we all know who already has one set up and likes to send them out, I believe Jerry just recently got one 🙄

If this was indeed Don that did your tune and you were on a phonecall chatting level, perhaps take it up with him.
If you will not say who it was then it is just too bad that someone else may get shafted or at a minimum Don’s already poor reputation is smeared.
I find it interesting that not that long ago things were all rosy with everyone……..

Yep, from what I can see, that breach/bolt sure looks like the one he sent me, and he used to make custom knobs like that with the o-rings… I was just going to ask about Don, then I read somewhere here that he “Fell off the face of the earth”… 💡
