To swap the adapters, I would have to completely
empty both tanks and you know what a pain that is…..
BUT!!!!….It is certainly in the plans….
My brother and one of his sons that is in on
leave from Iraq are coming over to punch some
paper so I will have to wait until later….I am really
interested to see how it shoots with the stock adapter
though….This just may be the ticket….

This is a short string from Condor 24″ barrel, PW 12/12,
3,000psi fill, 2,000psi regulator (after being sent in for repair)
from JDSairman, and Airhog co2 adapter…..

Not that I know of Tony…I have had my other
regulator opened and it has washers that can
be rearranged to change the output but I am
not sure how to go about doing that….

Sorry…Shot up all the 18.1’s. All I have left are 15.8…..

Tony, this is 70+ shots…My Chrony errored about
10 times…..
I finished with 2,400psi left in the tank so I would say
I could have gotten 20 more shots…..The string is not
as consistant as it has been and I am not quite sure why…

What kind of money are we talking about?

Mamc: The setup looks really nice!

I told you I get 1,100fps with 15.8-16.5 JSB’s in my Condor at 2200psi and PW 0.. and that’s exactly what I see here. This looks like the AF hi-flow AF valve at the end, and is probably not “worked”, maybe some top hat adjustements. But if they bored out the valve or did other work for higher flow output then this is definitely a sooped up setup which doesn’t sound like you wanted. If I were you I would have told them I wanted mid-high 900’s or whatever the #’s were that you were hoping for. They would have accommodated you I would think or have suggested 1600-1800psi.

The #’s look pretty good and it’s certainly an improvement getting 30 shots with a 68fps ES over a “stock setup”. I usually get 100-120fps spread after 30 shots with my non-regulated Condor so it’s a major improvement. I think I was right on the $ earlier when I said a 1400-1800psi setup would yield manageable velocities (for better accuracy) and a lot more shots. The expense of equipping yourself to fill to 4,500psi also adds up… but it’s nice to know you can get probably double the shots..
One thing I don’t like and this has nothing to do with you (I commend you on buying this setup and sharing the results!!), is why every few shots is there a 50-60fps difference? Going from 1100 down to 1040-1050 and back up again should not be happening with a regulated system. I can see 20fps maybe, but 50-60fps seems like a lot..

In conclusion I think Airhog has inherited all the faults of the AF valve and its top hat’s idiosyncracies by adapting the factory valve hardware. I can see it’s a lot less R&D for them, but unless it’s a Blodnob valve or something similar, it’s always going to mess up the consistency a little no matter how well regulated the air output is. If it weren’t for that 50-60fps variation every few shots, I ‘d say this system is a real winner, but it’s not bad the way it is right now either.

Another thing I wanted to bring up is the possibility of using the Kodiaks and Eun Jins with this setup for now anyway.. I think you ‘ll be happier with the results of using heavier pellets. There will always be someone to buy your JSB’s if you have tons of them.
