You can definitely fill it all the way to 4500 psi and it’ll regulate the output to 2200 psi. The tank and the reg. are rated to 4500 so you have no worries. It’s just like using a reguated paintball tank but a much higher output.

I would have to say yes it is a little pricey but, if
it does what I am expecting it will be worth it.
Well I just opened the box…..It has 3,000psi loaded
in the tank right now so I am assuming it is a 3,000psi
tank…..Maybe you can tell by the codes on the tank…
Looks like it could be a 4,500psi max tank and the regulator
has 4,500psi on it too. I don’t think my compressor is rated
for much more than 3,000psi but I know Tony can clarify
that….
The co2 adapter it uses is reworked for more flow and
it already comes with a Condor valve I think…I know the
opening on the co2 adapter is the same size as the Condor valve.
I would think that the Airhog guys could set a regulator for
you at what ever psi you would like to try. I am just
not sure if they have done any testing at any other psi

100 regulated shots @ 2200psi sounds a little high if it’s a 3k psi tank but you never know. My Condor .22 shoots JSB Predators at about 1,100fps at 2200psi (hi-flow valve and AF tank). Kodiaks are 1,000fps at that pressure with the PW turned all the way down to 0. When it’s down to about 1600psi it shoots in the 900-950 range.
I can’t wait for your test results. I was thinking something around 1,400-1,800psi max. regulated for mine.

I would think that 2,200psi would really have a
.177 screaming…Maybe even too fast
to be accurate but I have no experience with that caliber.
If you are interested you should call and talk to the guys.
They know what is working best….I know absolutely nothing
about .177.

I ordered the Carbon Fiber tank with a 2,200psi regulator…
I have 2 Condors in .22. One with 18″ and one with 24″ barrels so
I will be doing a whole lot of testing….
Should be running about 900-950 with JSB 15.8 with the 24″ barrel.

I can”t wait for mine to arrive!!! You can increase the power output on your FX Compressor, mine’s set up to go a little over 3,200 psi before shutting off. It’s an easy adjustment by turning an adjustment screw that is under that rubber boot on the front near the air gauge.
Looking forward to your report on the tank, its a 4,500psi CF…
