I have 16 tins of JSB 15.8….Gotta make’em work….
I think with a little tinkering I’ll be ok….The fps strings
look pretty consistant so I am optimistic about the setup….
I am thinking that the stock co2 adapter might just do the trick….
If not…I will have to go to a heavier pellet to slow things down..
I couldn’t really tell what the accuracy was like today
buster. It was just too windy…Today should be pretty
good. Winds are predicted to be 5-10 mph so I should
be able shoot and post some targets along with Chrony #’s.
I am not sure if I am going to get to the 4,500psi fill any
time soon….Even with a scuba tank I wouldn’t get very
many 4,500psi fills if any. I think it takes a couple of days
and some chilling to reach that psi in scuba tank so I’ll
be sticking with the compressor for now….
try the jsb 18.1 or kodiacs they will go slower
just wait to see what the factory co2 adapter does…..The factory adapter
doesn’t flow as much as the Airhog I am told…..
The Top Hat is set at .129 Would dropping it down reduce the fps?
I would think that the Top Hat setting is going to affect mv, seeing as that is how much the valve is going to open, right, for a given amount of duration based on the power wheel setting…
Regards,
Tony
I’ll give Van a call today and discuss some changes….
It doesn’t look like the PW is having as much effect as
I thought it would but considering it’s regulated that
would make sense….
are you geting acuracy at those fps, today i was getting awful groups at 20 yrd at 1000 to 980 fps with jsb 18.1 g, now yor problem is getting a 4500 psi fill

Suppose to be 2,200 Tony…You might talk to Van about turning it down or

going to throw a stock factory co2 adapter on it and
see what happens…I really don’t need 1,100fps.

know what the reg’s output pressure is set at? 1,100 fps is a number I’d like to avoid myself…900 – 980 would be more acceptable to me with 16 or 18gr Exacts…
Looking forward to your results with the stock C02 adapter….

Tony
Last string of the night…I think tomorrow I am
going to throw a stock factory co2 adapter on it and
see what happens…I really don’t need 1,100fps.

Next string will be on PW 0…..

f
fill and running it in a bit, you’ll get much tighter spreads…

Tony
New string. Much better and more shots…
Next string will be on PW 0…..

This string looks really good compared to the first 2….
I gave it about 60 shots and 2 refills before I ran this string….
I don’t have the capability to fill to 4,500psi yet…..
I am going to bump the compressor up some and see
what the next string looks like ….
Seems to be getting more consistant the more I shoot it….
Don’t know if these things have a break in period but I guess
it could….
Not as many shots as I thought but I am only filling to 3,100.
I am going to drop down to 3/3 on the PW for the next string
and see what happens.
#16 is 1058…Sorry I cut off the picture….

for them to be at their best consistency…I know some of my regged guns will act really quirky over the chrony if they haven’t been shot in a while and are pulled out of the case, filled and shot.
Definitely get it topped off to 4500psi and have a go with it over the chrony!
Regards,
Tony
Drum roll please!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the info Tony

Wind was dead still this morning…..

I filled to 3,300 psi. I have the stock AF co2
adapter mounted on the tank with the PW
set at 11/11. I shot about 30 shots while I adjusted
the PW and windage then concentrated on a dot….
I then shot approx. 15 shots at 65 yards and 3 shots over the
Chrony…It was running between 925 and 930 fps.
After all of these shots I still had just a tick over
2,500psi left in the tank..So now it looks like I have
the option to shoot Kodiaks with the Airhog co2 adapter
or JSB 15.8gr to 18.1gr with the stock AF co2 adapter.
Here is the target…..
Tony, I think you are going to be quite happy with
the Airhog Regulated HPA system…..
