2000 psi
Cant see the pics here at work, but will check them out when I get home.
The widely regarded standard for a reasonable output for a QB without the need for valve or other reinforcements seems to be 1100psi. I’m not sure who or how that number came about, but checking various posts…that seems to be the number.
I am seriously considering another one and running it at 1100psi for .177. Figure I should get get a fair amount of shots on it.
Unless you plan to beef up the stock, dont bother with a 22ci tank as it will be far too front heavy. I’ve got a 22ci tank on my 850 and it’s a bit heavy, need to add some weight to the butt to even it out a touch.
thanks rob, I was looking at his sight last and I must say he has some good prices, and it looks like the 13 would be the way to go. I still have a bunch of research to do to figure out what setting, and adapter I want but I’ll get there.
here’s a pic of how the stock came out.

mam crack, what was the bad side of jds, did he not want to take it back or fix it?
I’ve got the QB79 so no adapter is needed… my 13ci tank is set at a mild mannered 950psi and gives me over 100 shots at 14fpe in .22.
Was a fun little project. Would like to get another QB in .17 to do another conversion at some point.
The QB79 has only two very small screws, very close to the end of the tube that holds the tank block to the tube. If one was not safe in running a high output reg and didnt secure the block, sure… it could come out. I’ve read about that happening before. As with any HPA application, one has to be careful.
At least I think that is what he was trying to say. The dealer sounded like a jerk to me!
I am easy to get along with…My money is not defective so
I don’t expect to trade my money for a defective service
or product. There are some cases in which you need to
hold your tongue to ensure that you get the service you are
paying for and I understand that tap dance very well.
In these days and times, consumers need to understand that
they are not at the mercy of every supplier anymore…Suppliers will
keep thier promises and live up to thier advertisments or else.
It is too easy and a lot less stressfull to move on to another
source if you are not getting what you paid for…After they
have your money, too many suppliers try to leave you hanging
and blame you or your equiptment instead of thier faulty products.
Send thier junk back. Have them sign for reciept, and have the
charges reversed. That way they have thier product and I have
my money. I have all of the documentation I need to
show that John has the regulator in his possesion. If John
decides that he doesn’t want to live up to his advertised claims, I can easily
do a reverse credit on my Visa and get an immediate refund…
Let’s just say that I don’t have to listen to BS excuses and lies, or
allow myself to be verbally disrespected. There are few things
that are more important than my self respect. As far as I am
concerned, John drank all of the Honey and now it is time to serve
him a dose of his own Vinegar….
At least I think that is what he was trying to say. The dealer sounded like a jerk to me!
yep :11
MamC, I think he’s trying to say that you can catch more flies with honey that vinegar. You may be able to get problems resolved a little easier, and more to your liking with being decent with people rather than hateful. At least give the guy a chance.

Sirhc888 what is your reg set to?
Wow sorry to hear you had some negative experiences with John. Mine works pretty flawlessly. But I do NOT recommend the 48 ci tank. It’s WAY TOO FAT. I have a very difficult time trying to peer thru my scope because the bottle diameter is so big.
This is the 48cu.in. 3000psi Tank.
Length: 8 1/4″
Diameter: 3 3/8″
Weight: 2.5 LBS
Threads: 5/8-18 UNF 2-B.
I recommend a tank with a smaller diameter from whomever you buy from.
Hope you’re right maw….I have really high expectations
and nothing rashes my azz like a BS salesman…..
If they sell you a good one, its the utopia for good marketing, cause everyone will jump to the batters box, I thank-you! for you will be the 1st for this forum, on if it is really as good as they claim, hang on Mamcrackin, I think they are going to give you the best they can, cause they know the consequinces.
…………?
about the ExpertHPA one person had one mounted on a qb79 the reg didn’t hold the pressure output at 1400 psi goin up to full tank pressure tearing the gun apart where the tank adapter holds on to the rifle so it shot of like a rocket. on customer service consider how one persons problem cant determine how all of the products will be there could be other problems with this persons set up ,come on store pays for return shipping for warranty or anything so that’s not something negative and the way you talk to some one determines the way they will treat you common sense, just make the best decision for you and what will work for what you want
