To anyone out there in PCP land, Hoot is right about the Colibri/Hummingbird ,
Just try and find a used one out there at a fair price, Not going to happen…
Totally agree…
I listed mine for sale about 10 months ago, and hell no I wasn’t going to sell it cheap.
— $ 1600.00 + shipping. —–
Glad no one was smart enough to jump on it.
I just started shooting mine lately. What a perfect cocking system.
If it was a .25 cal. I’d shoot it a LOT more….
22 cal. even the 18.1 gr. @ 910 fps seems a bit wimpy to me.
I know it’s not, at 32 fpe, but I have a tendency to spray lead all over the property shooting
everything in sight like an irresponsible 5 year old. Too much fun.
Won’t be selling my Colibri !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What does that tell you about the gun, Yep you need to make more just like them.

Chil…
Things have been very quiet lately about the Cricket products. A lot of us would like to see if, or when, a new Colibri will be released. We have seen some new designs that indicated semi-automatic function, as well as a square shroud covering the barrel. It looks like shit on a white horse! A terrible design, and it’s ugly too.
The original Colibri/Hummingbird was one of the best pcp airguns I ever owned! It had a few flaws, but easily fixed by Ernest Rowe…our in-house genius for airguns! They will eventually release a model for us, but it may not be what we are looking for. The original tiny, lightweight, ergonomic design was almost perfect…until Cricket started to re-think the design. Big mistake!!!!
Time will tell us what they come up with. I hope they haven’t turned a near perfect little pcp into a square fashion statement. :angrymob:
Keep in touch. Winter is a slow time on this forum.
Kindly ‘Ol Uncle Hoot:
I m looking for website to more information about colibri
I have colibri 2015
But still I could not find information like Cricket in website of it
My colibri problem only was o ring in barrel and I changed buy is not soft like original one
Please inform me more about this
Thanks
Hoot, there is a lot of truth in that.

It looks like someone took an original great idea/design and managed to committee cluster-fuck it into a longer, square barrelled, heavier machine that does nothing more, or better, than the original Hummingbird! Which, by the way, only needed a couple of minor fixes to bring it to near perfection.
Same thing with the Lelya. We ask for a few minor changes/improvements…and an entire new Lelya evolves…an ugly sister to the original.
When I was a scuba instructor, a tall, sveldt, nicely built, drop dead perfect complexion/hair, much more than pretty, young lady told me she felt perhaps she needed more “upstairs”…likely at the the suggestion of the moron she was engaged to…I quietly told her “…you are proportionate to your height and weight, you don’t need to change anything about you…besides, why would you tamper with perfection?” Her finance was close by and listening. She lights up like a Christmas tree, runs over to me and gives me a huge…huge hug…despite my protest that I was all sweaty from moving boxes…she simply said “I don’t care!!!” That’s because a great weight had been lifted off her shoulders by someone with no dog in that fight. Her finance didn’t look all that pleased, but at that time I could beat the living shit out of his tiny head, so I didn’t care. It wasn’t every day I got a full body embrace from a living goddess!!! The same applies to pcp’s! If it’s damn near perfect, file off the few rough edges and sell it! Don’t redesign the whole gun!
Further, my worthless, humble opinion…A semi-auto, like a full-auto, is fun for about a box or two of pellets. Then the user begins to realize all it really offers is a faster means to shoot pellets without giving the time to concentrate on the purpose of shooting in the first place…hitting the target! A semi-auto, in my lifetime, offered only one advantage, when hunting quail, upland bird, or waterfowl, a followup up shot only had a second or less, to line up and fire. You don’t need every gadget that comes along on a pcp. It’s fun, sure…if you can afford it, along with every new gun that comes along each year. But some of us have limits.
Here’s the point…the users most often have the best design ideas, but no one listens to us. That’s a mistake.
Listen my children, and learn, from one who is all knowing, all wise,….and if you disagree, may I, with the greatest respect, offer that I don’t give a rat’s ass. Us elderly Arkansas Toadsuckiers are hard of will and opinion!!! (…mostly because we will be dead soon enough, and you can’t get to us there!!! ha ha ha…)
Kindly Ol’ Uncle Hoot:
i watched the video, & sadly, it does not seem to be a semi auto..BTW , i prefer the carbon fiber looking one..
hoping its wood, 0.25 and semi-auto :5: :5:
our arab ‘brothers’ seem have some display piece videos already out there, is this ABS or wood?

Me Too!
i just wish they would quit jerking around , & release it , or at least give us some info..
:hoot:
I’ve been checking out the pics on page one of this thread, noting the unique square shroud, and it occurred to me…does it shoot square pellets????
Hoot:

Chil…..
Are you hearing the people talk?
Not sure who the hell Chil is, but if you got something to do with the Colibri, You really need to open your ears to your customers .
