The Wiley Thief and Liar , Strike II
Received my GG&G ( what does that stand for anyway – Gay, Gay & Gayer ?? ) knock-off today from GreenBase. The first thing that strikes me is the weight,or the lack thereoff. The second being there´s no free-play of any kind- on any of the connections/joints, which is a good thing. The third is the Chinese still haven´t learn to use any Loctite.
I need to test it in the heat of the battle against targets and plinkers but it´s definitely worth its measly price 35$ any day.

I´ve actually e-mailed to NRA with an important question : How many Swedish members are there ? I´d like to get a hold on a bunch and have a big Party or something – of course together with a meeting where we discuss these burning issues – and get together for a day of shooting. Damn it – i´ll run for the Precidency for the local branch of Swedish NRA . :4:

I´m having a vacation untill the Jan. 7th so what´s the better way of killing time than chatting on the TAG while consuming ice-cold Beer ? O.K. , i know, i know – yacking here, consuming the Beer while shooting my airguns – but it´s pitch black outside now…

He goes after us customers but has no chance of removing the clone Atlas from Amazon.com that has been for sale for months because the distributor is too big to deal with or is it actually legal as the listing claims with the Airsoft only out there. Who knows?

It’s an ok bi-pod but it’s not worth what he is asking. It is well built, but I found it to have an over kill of adjustability. It took me ten minutes just to get it where I wanted it.
After you realize the mistake you’ve made, send me one of them and I’ll toss it in the trash for you. I’ll even pick up the postage…again, no need for thanks, that’s just the way I roll!

I was just on my way to roll to the nearest Postal Office with a package destined to Toad Suck when i realized that i have a trash can – or actually two of them – outside my palatial residence.
Seriously – i think this G,G,G,G and some G´s still would be a perfect Bi-pod for your needs. It´s lightweight and has the same function as the Harris and its clones but in a , as said, much lighter and more nimble package.
I´m waiting – with dampened enthusiasm – that the owner of Gay,Gay & Gay OR Mr. Bobro will jump in to this thread and accuse me for being a Commy or something. Before that happens i´d like to add a pic of something that , at least partially , will prove that being just Hogwash and that i´m definitely pro Freedom and definitely pro Freedom of choice.

It´s actually quite well made – not just taken it´s Chinese but well made. Period.
I like the Atlas function much better being the 45 degrees tilting on the legs distributes the weight of the gun more evenly and suspenses the harsh re-coil from a powerful PCP 😯
Seriously though i´m able to shoot a bit (1mm or so) tighter groups with my Sako while using the Atlas clone compared to iex Harris or it´s clones so there´s something about the “suspended” effect the big A has build into it. I can imagine the original having even more of that but since the Swedish price is what it is i´ll probably never find out whether that´s true or not.
Anyway – the GG& one more G -clone is better made than the Atlas-clone is regarding the tolerances. Now the Chinese need to discover that marvellous goo named Loctite and that will spare all the buyers the steep price of .23 Cents those 6-7 drops of the # 243 costs , although i can live with that – for now. 😎
No need to feel regret when the Atlas is over-priced by at least $300.00….

I got my Green Base Atlas copy In today as well. I think I will order a real Atlas to see the difference and to make me feel better. I ordered 2 before I even knew anything about the branding and copying stuff. I’d never used bipods and just went searching, for one online and the first stop had a link to this one and It looked good compared to the Harris’s I’d seen at Bass Pro Shops so my search ended and I ordered 2 for $34 each. Looks worth that to me but It feels wrong buying copys even if knowing after the fact.
They even say Atlas on them I was surprised to see.
It looks pretty. 😛 I think I read a while back that there are two models of the real GG&G. They were also designed by Andrew Bobro. One is for 50 cal level recoil and the other much lighter.

Aaaw – this is a trick question, right ? First – i have no .30 cal AG. Second – the Sparrows are sleeping since it´s 9.35 PM here . Third – were those damned flying Mouses awake it´d too dark to see them in my alcohol induced haze. I´m under the suspicion you´re trying to pull a fast one on me, Brant !
