Tightest group 100 yards.
I was just wondering if anyone had tighter groups that this with the condor check out the video.

shot, throwing a rock, doesn’t make any difference what you’re using……

First off, great shooting! 2″ groups at 100 yards are damn good and only motivated shooters who think they can do something a little better or guys that have never shot at over 50 yards are disappointed by that.
Especially since that was with the worst pellet!
I’ve got a bunch of groups shot at 100 and further, shot with guns better optimized for long range and I’m glad you weren’t there to slide in and show me up! 😯
Now, if you’ll all indulge me for a minute, let me say that the condensation issue was not the problem with the first shots.
It takes a good number of shots to cool the barrel enough to get condensation to form (unless you took a cold gun outside which would speed things along). The air inside the bore from just after the first shot is the driest air around. That air was compressed and forced through a water separator and while not “dry” it has far lower humidity than the ambient air. Even though the inside of the bore is the coldest surface after multiple shots, it is exposed to the driest air and not to circulating humid air like the outside of the barrel.
The air being used for the shot is expanding rapidly and will flash condense the moisture out but that condesation will re-evaporate rapidly. The air that remains in the bore is the dry(er) stuff from the tank and has less moisture to condense inside the bore.

You can see the rapid condensation of the air charge and how quickly it re-evaporates even on that very humid day. Note that some of the videos were shot at 420 frames per second and are played back at 30 frames per second… The regular videos show how quickly the condensation dissapates and you should also note that the condensation is after the air has expanded beyond the constraints of the bore. We saw no accuracy issues that day and as far as I can tell we never had moisture on the inside of the barrel even though the outside got wet.
I suppose it is possible that the inside of the bore could get wet given enough time for wet air to circulate in but not so much that the barrel returned to ambient temperature…but i doubt it. If that did happen, you might notice that the first shot of a group was always the flyer….

Mam, on the 1st group was the beginning shots the ones off the most, if you remember, cause maybe, the 1st couple shots were affected from the moisture.

Not prone pab. Out of respect for you I did use the bipod with the butt
shouldered but, I was shooting from my shooting table…The grass was
all wet and messy..lol

If you used the bipod and shouldered the butt, I reckon thats more difficult than standard prone.

DID you happen to look at the 18.1gr group? it is 2+” and that was the good one out of 5 groups I shot with that pellet…The rest of them were pointless to post…

I’d expect it would slow the pellet down a fair bit, possibly deform it too as water is non-compressible.
JT effect is used to great advantage in chryogenic deep cut gas plants.
Just so’s you know I do speak from experience as well as knowledge. 🙂

such a short amount of time with such a simple technique…It is majical.
And I am not impressed easily…
