Tightest group 100 yards.
I was just wondering if anyone had tighter groups that this with the condor check out the video.

So the chilled barrel in a humid atmosphere condenses the moisture as seen in Mam’s pics.

We know why the barrel gets wet Walter…Dahhhhh….Friggin kind of
obvious…We are not asking why or how it got wet….That has already
been determined…..
What we wanted your expert opinion on is:
Could the moisture be building up inside the barrel also and if so what
kind of effect would that have on the pellet through the bore and/or in
flight?
They are pretty stinkin tight metal…I had one that would not go in the
barrel…

I was actually wondering if for some reason the tank was extremely cold.
Where I work when we fill up HPA tanks we stick them in the freezer after filling them to cool them off. So when the air comes out it is much cooler than room temp even though the air cools when released from a cylinder.
The tank wasn’t chilled…It was just cool outside and humid this morning
and the barrel temp was just right for condensaton to build..I was
wondering the same about the possibility of moisture in the barrel
between each shot and how that might effect the pellet. I thought that
maybe it was screwing with the 18.1gr until the barrel got completely
cooled off. I thought that maybe everything had cleared up inside when I
got around to shooting the other 2 because the groups kept getting
tighter..I am sure Walter has an experience explaination that we would
all love to hear and critique….

The cooling of the barrel occurs due to Joules Thomson effect. Where a compressed gas/air passes through a restriction into a low pressure area.

See, when I first read this post I knew you’d be the guy to do it lol. I’m actually just as surprised by the EunJins as I can’t get those to group that good at 30yards out of my gun. They seem like every pellet fits a little differently; maybe I got 4 bad tins….
For your sake I hope you don’t show the same personality faults in

thing is, you probably won’t even understand why…..I just hope
when that day comes and you cause such an occasion to occur that your
mouth isn’t writing a check your azz can’t cash….

Nice shooting by the way.
The condensation is on the outside of the barrel..It forms when the barrel
temp falls below ambient temperature enough to reach the dew point. Or
the point at which the moisture in the air around the barrel becomes so dense that it becomes a liquid…
I have a compressor with a huge moisture filter going into an SCBA
tank…..My air is dry…

Well now you know why the barrel was getting cold enough for condensation to form. If ambient air got into the bore it while cold it would condense in there as well.
JT effect is used to great advantage in chryogenic deep cut gas plants.
Just so’s you know I do speak from experience as well as knowledge. 🙂
