To lube or NOT to lube
Here are my results of dry and lubed pellets….
JSB Match Diablo Exact Jumbo Heavy 18+gr .22 cal.
I lubed them with Break-Free then rolled them
back and forth in a paper towel folded in half to
take off the excess….
I have seen discussions about it but I never did
a comparison….My rifle likes lube….Yours’ might
not…..
This is a 65yd target…..All of these shots were
from one fill…I did not refill before shooting the
lubed pellets….

As long as he is aiming at the same spot for each group it doesn’t matter what the mark looks like or where it is, right? 😕
Damn straight!!! Thanx for posting your experiment here Mamcrackin. Seems air rifle shooting can also benefit from some lube (as well as other types of shooting, if ya catch ma drift) 😆

Ya’otta use some real targets instead of using a hunk of cardboard and then circling where things hit. The groups are different of course, but I can’t tell what you were aiming at in the first place.

Ya guys gotta try KryTech, it dries and doesn’t get your fingers dirty, and I even like the smell of the stuff, got it from Mac-1, good shit

It’s really not bad at all …This stuff is really thin and
there is just a slight film left on the pellets once you
roll them around in the papertowel…I was thinking
about the same thing….
You could always carry a hanky… 😯
As much as I don’t look forward to having greasy fingers while shooting, the difference is amazing.

I did a refill to the same psi and shot the lubed first
and dry second this time and the results were pretty
much the same…The first few dry went well but IMHO
I think it had to do with the lube residue in the barrel
from shooting the lubed pellets first…After a few shots
the dry pellets started to scatter….

Not saying that Mam is BS’ing, but a proper bullseye tends to focus the mind.
