turning 22 Condor into a Pussy Cat, 7 foot pound’s of energy
Been playing some more ,had the condor turned up to 75 foot pounds this weekend with 32 g. euijins at 1000 fps, now i went the opposite direction , here is a shot string for ya , bout fell asleep trying to finish this one.
It was terrible windy so the groups are not that great. 36 yard instead of 50, way to windy for 50.

used a lot of different pellets, all lighter stuff, gamo match, rws match ,gamo hunter, cabela’s h.p. jsb 14g., 15.9 , crossman Premier,
here is one target with most of the different pelllets to get an idea how they like the 500’s
i didn’t really try for the best groups because the wind was bad and i was trying to see what the string would look like with the gun set up like this.
I will sure tell ya one thing the wad cutters do not like the wind at all.the round nose pellets are not near as bad in the wind.
Here is one 5 shot group with the meisterkugeln when the wind let up a bit. 36 yard
The rws Meisterkugeln will shoot one hole at 25 ,30 yards at 750 to 800 fps.if the wind was not tering them up, 22 pellets at 550fps gives the wind allot of time to work on them i guess.the gamo match will also do better than this at higher velocity and no wind.

Ok so the 21g is at 634 fps
the 15.4 is around 712 fps
the 28 grain is around 544
is this with the oring in.
so are you just trying to see what each pellet velocity is at this set up.?
that’s just about right for the 15.4 isn’t it for the field target.
Today, power test:
– Diana high-power cal.22, 1’37 grams, avr speed 191’3 m/s = 25’0 joules
– Gamo round cal.22, 1’0 grams, avr speed 217’26 m/s = 23’6 joules
– Predator bigboy-senior cal.22, 1’87grams, avr speed 166m/s = 25’5 j
– Tank filled at 2900psi, after 50 shots = 2400psi availables
Next time I’ll test the JSB 5’52mm and shot range to empty the tank

The crosman Premier is one of the best shooting pellets that i have tried, right next to the Jsb.
And i would try to put a business card under the rear scope mount like Anthony said if you don’t want to spend the money on an adjustable mount. I have done this and it worked fine.you don’t have to take the scope off just loosen up your mounts and slide a trimmed piece under your scope, if that doesn’t raise it enough, put 2 pieces under the scope.

So do I !!!!!!, I don’t have access to Crossman in my country & I must import from Pyramydair.com but I bought a tin and was nice shot at 50 meters… basicly the same than jsb exact 5’52mm….
Im going to have to look all this over real close , this is where I want to go with my Condor , because I feel it has potential to compete in FT.
What do you think about the crossman premier domed & jsb exact 5’52mm to shot at 25 meters & 50 meters???

Recently acquired a Condor and bought a used shroud for it. At lowest power setting the report was way too loud for me to use it in my back yard. Discovered by accident that the majority of the sound was the pellet going sonic. Had read this post and so I added a rubber O ring. Oh what a difference this made! I’ll be using my chrono to adjust it up some but this simple mod has made my Condor back yard friendly. Thanks heaps for the suggestion!

Hawke Optics has a one piece and the 2 piece adjustable mounts for nearly 1/10 that price and I think they may be more fully adjustable with both front and/or back sideways adjustment.

If you run out of height adjustment with your scope you can either shim the rear of the scope or buy adjustable mounts and raise the rear.
Either way you have to raise the rear of the scope….
There are adjustable scope mounts made, you can adjust elevation and wind age of the scope on the mount.
